FERME DE SORVAL

In English, we stayed here in April 2024. It has a spectacular site, fine, fine caretakers and hoteliers, and animals that are charming and a wonderful presence on the land. There is not a restaurant on the site, but 15 minutes away there are several. This is a glorious spot, in relatively rural France, and has everything to recommend it. The only small downside is a steep stairway to get to the upper bedrooms, but with a strong balustrade. This is inevitable in the design of the location, but be prepared to unpack your suitcases, especially if they are heavy, and carry only the essentials upstairs because carrying a big suitcase up would be a task.
I commend the owner/caretakers and what they are doing with the place. The gardeners are out making it more attractive, and the animals are behind fences and a fine presence. A particularly good place for families. The shelves near the kitchen have a variety of local products purchasable for a reasonable price, and there is a thoroughly workable grill outside for cooking in warmer times. We were in Bois Doré — lovely, modern, yet respectful of its nearby large farmhouse.

Everyone had a great time. This is a cozy and quiet place, where you can disconnect from the world and reconnect with your people. We visited with my 3 year-old and baby, and they had everything we could need. Our host, Katia, was the best!

Week-end extra ; la gîte est spacieux et décoré avec raffinement. Les animaux de la ferme sont accessibles autour des gîtes pour notre plus grand bonheur; vaches, moutons, canards, poules, poneys et 2 petits chats. Un bois est accessible proche des animaux et nous avons également vu plusieurs fois des animaux sauvages; faisans, biches. Des produits de la ferme sont également à vendre directement dans le gîte. A salle de sport comprends des equipements luxueux en bois et cuir. Nous sommes allés au restaurant conseillé par Katia, le Rossignol, nous nous sommes régalés. Je recommande les yeux fermés.

Nous avons passé un séjour très agréable nous remercions Katia pour son accueil chaleureux et son amabilité. Nous avons hâte de revenir !! Nous avons apprécié le charme de l'appartement il est parfaitement bien pensé, équipé et décoré ????
