The only unfriendly experience in the southern France trip.

Because of our train travel and the time it took us to get our rental car, we found ourselves missing the usual hours for lunch. So we drove into Touron d'Agenais very hungry, but unsure of what we'd be able to eat besides a snack. We checked with the tourist office, where they thought that Le Beffroi might be able to serve us.
Well, in spite of showing up when the kitchen would normally be closed, we were able to choose from almost the full menu, and the shared appetizer and mains were exquisite. The owner speaks very good English, and the food -- a mille feuilles of aubergine and ricotta, suprême de pintade x2, and magret de canard were so good that we'd make this restaurant a destination. Friendly service, and good value!
We're not rating the rooms for the obvious reason that we were not overnight guests.

Venu à pied, j'ai été bien reçu, le vin est très bon et le plat aussi.

Si je mets 2 étoiles c'est vraiment pour les pauvres serveuses en extra. Mais sinon vraiment ça n'en vaut qu'une. Il nous a fallut patienter 3h30 pour manger dont 2h avant d'avoir l'entrée. Pas d'eau , pas de couverts... Il a fallu se servir seul et débarasser nous même notre table, tellement le personnel était sous l'eau.
Tarifs chers pour les quantités.
Et le pire je pense que c'est le manque d'âme commerçante du patron qui au lieu de s'excuser et faire un geste nous demande à nous d'être tolérant face à son incapacité de gérer son établissement.
Je n'ai qu'une expérience mais en temps d' affluence vraiment fuyez !

Petit point à noter, ils ne prennent ni la carte ticket restaurant ni la version papier, mais cela n'a pas ternis notre soirée.
