we stayed in the hotel on the hottest day of 2025. The welcome was warm but the rooms were cool and sheltered from the sun. the dinner was excellent and the wine choice was good. Service was attentive but not overwhelming. The added bonus is that the owner found and manages the museum that contained the WW1 tank “Diana” - he gave us a detailed and personalised tour of Diana on the morning we left. what a brilliant hotel. what a great owner.

Un véritable coup de cœur !
Dès l’entrée, on se sent comme à la maison (en mieux !). Une équipe aux petits soins, toujours souriante, un accueil qui fait chaud au cœur et une ambiance aussi agréable que les plats sont savoureux. L’endroit respire la convivialité et la bonne humeur. Si vous cherchez un lieu où bien dormir, bien manger et surtout bien être, ne cherchez plus : vous êtes au bon endroit !

An old fashioned hotel in a quiet location 10 minute walk from the town,the rooms were very comfortable giving you a good nights sleep, the eve;ning meal and the the breakfasts were excellent,drinks were reasonably priced the staff were very attentive and the patron Philippe was magnificent.we went to flesquieres tank museum and Phillipe was the perfect guide , we followed in the footsteps of my grandfather who was in the 12th batt Royal Tank Corps at the the 2nd battle of cambrai where he was awarded the Military Cross. thank you again Philippe for all the info you supplied us with. I have stayed here regularly since 2003, and you won't find a finer location, hotel, host and food for the price anywhere. If your interest happens to be the battlefields of the Great War, then there is no finer base.

Hôtel visite pour trois jours, que dire, une vraie surprise !
Un cadre super joli, un personnel super professionnel et agréable qui sait accueillir et bichonner ses clients. Je me suis sentie hyper à l’aise dans cet hôtel et vraiment je le recommanderai pour un petit séjour en famille ou même pour le travail !

We loved this hotel and can’t wait to go back. Fascinating old building but the rooms have been beautifully renovated. Breakfast was amazing in a lovely dining room overlooking the garden. Great wines to drink in the bar. All in all it was a fabulous stop.

Je tenais à souligner le cruel manque d’honnêteté de la part du directeur et de sa femme. Ce sont des personnes qui ne sont même pas capable de dire la vérité auprès des candidats pour les postes à pourvoir. Il faut vraiment revoir ses méthodes de recrutement ainsi que le côté humain. Laisser des personnes sans réponse pendant des mois et ne jamais se remettre en question…

Spacious, elegant rooms - a gem of a hotel!

I wish we could have stayed more than 2 nights. Le Beatus is an oasis that we retreated to visiting historical monuments and family.
Philip is a treasure of a host/owner, who offers the full package: quality accommodations, food and drink within an exclusive setting.
We’ll be back!

Do yourself a favour, -- stay!
Lovely owners with the care that entails ( cat mad!!!) Fantastic breakfast & very helpful.
We stayed on the run from Calais but Cambria is worth it's own visit. Its a long walk into town or very short drive but infinitely better than any chain
