Erg mooi en karakteristiek hotel. Zeer vriendelijke en behulpzame gastheer! Het hotel is druk bezig met een renovatie! Datgene wat al is vernieuwd ziet er erg mooi uit. Erg goed ontbijt en zeer vriendelijke bediening. Een aanrader! Hotel kamer was helemaal nieuw en had een erg fijn niieuw bed!

Deuxième visite, depuis le changement de propriétaire dans cette endroit chaleureux. Cuisine excellente. Un petit moment de nostalgie en retrouvant le chariot de dessert, un clin d œil gourmand au anciens propriétaires. À découvrir absolument.

Dissappointed. Outside does not look like the photos. Inside ok but not very inviting. Very surly reception. Had our 2 dogs with us only told on arrival that they are not allowed anywhere except our room and salon. Bit Dissappointed as we don't like leaving them in a strange room . They are well travelled used to different environments and well behaved but I get that some people don't like dogs in restaurants so acceptable but wish we had known before arriving. Ate in the restaurant but front of house let the kitchen down badly. Food was really quite good. Can't complain about quality. But did wait an age for food to come out. Not a friendly service from staff either. Table booked at 7.30. Eventually at 10pm 2 and half hours later we asked if we could take the desserts to our room (which i have to say were amazing) due to the time that we had left the dogs!! Staff need to be more personal and friendly. Shame as we would have had more wine, coffee, brandy if a) we had been offered and b) we were not so fed up sitting waiting to be served. As a previous restaurant owner in England I understand the difficulties but the above issues need addressing if you want repeat bookings. Sadly will not return even though perfect for the Calaise teminals.

We have been here several times over the years and always enjoyed it. It has changed hands this year and we were happy to give it a try. We stayed 4 nights the room was fine however we only had hot water for a shower on the first morning despite telling the Michel. The restaurant has the "savoureux" marking and we expected the standard of excellent food we have had previously. For all 4 nights the three starters were the same with only slight changes in presentation. The three choices of main courses were beef steak. lamb leg steak and cod for 2 nights and lamb rump, tuna and veal the other two nights. The beef and the lamb leg steak were quite tough and the lamb rump did not taste like lamb?. The cod was very nice. It certainly does not deserve a gourmand or savoureux marking from Logis.||The hotel has been tastefully refurbished down stairs, however Michel does not seem to be focused on customer service for his guests, the restaurant staff were friendly and helpful fortunately as Michel was only seen on arrival briefly one other morning||When I checked out the bill was confused as it had been split into two separate parts and the breakfast staff available were left to sort it out for me. ||We will not be returning to this hotel.

Nous sommes allés au restaurant la Pauze.
Très bon accueil merci Mesdames pour votre gentillesse et votre très bon service.
Le Patron prend le temps de discuter et de nous expliquer l'histoire du lieu.
Le repas excellent, produits frais de la bonne cuisine bravo à la cuisinière. ????????
Fromages locaux.
Je recommande cette adresse, en plus nous avons eu un temps magnifique apéro à l'extérieur. ????

Une belle découverte dans un petit village. L'esprit est fidèle au logis de France.
Un superbe accueil avec le sourire.
L'établissement est en rénovation ce qui n'empêche en rien de profiter d'une belle nuit de sommei ainsi que des parties communes qui ont été rénové avec goût.
De même pour le restaurant qui est très bon.
Si vous êtes de passage, je vous conseille d'y aller les yeux fermés

Recent change in ownership and refurbished. Emilie, Michel and family have carried out sympathetic changes that have brought modernity but kept the general historic, relaxing character that is the essence of the Hostellerie.|The menu concentrates on local ingredients and is of high quality, highly recommended.

Nous sommes allés déjeuner le jour de la saint Valentin pour la 4e fois dans cet établissement|Le hall est décoré pour la circonstance.|Merci à Émilie et Michel pour leur accueil chaleureux dans leur très belle propriété. Hôtel authentique, très propre et très accueillant.
Le service et la prestation des chambres sont discret mais toujours présent si besoin.
Petit déjeuner et repas sont excellents.
Personnellement nous retournerons avec plaisir lors d'un séjour dans Les hauts de France.

The Hotel is advertised as having a Gourmet Restaurant. What it does not tell you is that it only available on Saturday and Sunday. We arrived on a Thursday and were very dissapointed as the reason we had booked was for the Gourmet Restaurant. Instead we were offed the menu du jour with a limited choice, non of which I would call gourmet food. I chose the Steak and it was so tough it was inedible and I left it. Another guest also had the Steak and had to leave it as it was so tough. I will not be staying there again.

What a find! An absolute gem. The rooms are simple but very clean. All you need is a bed and bathroom right? The area is just a local village, nothing special, but a decent base. However, walking around, everyone without exception said hello with a smile...everyone!
We found a superb patisserie, which sold gorgeous French cakes and fresh bread, and there are a number of bars and restaurants, including at our hotel, and this is where this hotel excels.

I had a three course French for under £30...

So, an appetiser, salmon carpacio (served on a spoon) and a salmon mousse ball.

Then creamed lettuce soup.. these were just given.

Then, my starter was salmon with vegetables, in a filo pastry parcel, with a simple salad... in the UK this would be a mains... it was huge.

Then, I had cod, rice, veg and a veg dumpling type thing with a gorgeous sauce. .

Then, the dessert trolley came.

I had strawberry tiramisu... she then said, no you choose 3 .. and so I had a coffee mousse tartlet and a pineapple and coconut cheesecake.. the choices were amazing! Every guest who had the dessert trolley option had the face of a child at Christmas. Pure joy.

Then... I had coffee, which came with a meringue, chocolate tart and a madeleine cake!!!

Honestly, we would come again just for the food and hospitality.

Free parking, disabled parking and ramps indicate disabled facilities too. But please check, I can't confim that.

Excellent service, un peu déçue par les ris de veau, trop le goût de la sauce et trop petits morceaux de ris. La lotte était sèche et trop peu de sauce. Suis difficile, je sais, mais comme je cuisine bcp....le chariot des desserts magnifique...la gaspacho et le "trou normand", un plus très appréciés. Globalement bravo.
