Il s'avère que l'Ibis aurait eu un surbooking et un problème de logiciel de gestion ce qui ne m'est jamais arrivé en onze ans de vogages dans divers hôtels.
L'Holiday Inn est à l'autre bout et difficile d'accès à pied / en transports, surtout au dernier moment.
J'ai du coup dû payer un chauffeur Uber 12,96€ pour rejoindre l'autre hôtel le soir même (les transports arrivant en fin de service) et ensuite faire avec les désagréments dûs à l'emplacement de l'Holiday Inn dans une zone industrielle en périphérie durant le séjour entier alors qu'à Lingolsheim, j'avais choisi l'hôtel en raison de l'arrêt de bus express au pied de l'hôtel Ibis.
Certes l'Ibis est en rénovation, certes un problème de gestion peut arriver mais cela laisse une mauvaise impression, des frais supplémentaires et je suis très déçu de ce franchisé (Société Hôtelière Rhin et Rhône)...
Before arriving, I received my OTB confirmation and expected a smooth check-in. We had reserved a room for two people with two single beds. But when I entered the room, I found someone already inside — an incredibly awkward and unacceptable situation. I quickly left and informed the reception.
The receptionist was overwhelmed and slow, and instead of offering a proper solution, she was simply told, “Sorry, we don’t have a solution — maybe you can go to another hotel.” I insisted they fix the issue, as I was extremely tired after a long journey.
Eventually, they gave me another room — but it was in terrible condition, more like a storage room than a hotel room. To make matters worse, the air conditioning didn’t work. When I returned to reception to complain again, she was once again told, “Sorry, we have no solution.”
This is far below acceptable standards for any hotel, especially one under the Ibis name. Poor management, no accountability, and no respect for guests’ comfort or booking. Avoid this hotel.
