I had tickets for the Rocamadour festival on the 15th of august so
I called to book a room on the upper floor a couple of months earlier.
Mathieu promised this, when I asked for confirmation by email he said that they are a family business and I should trust them with no emails.
I called again to confirm my booking a few days before my arrival and he refused to give me the room on the upper floor. Then asked if I had an email or anything from them to confirm what he promised orally & he said that they had a group coming and that the upper rooms were all occupied!!
Then he was so rude to tell me that I can find another place.
It was too late to do anything by then.
When I arrived he gave me a room with a family just above me, I told him that I needed a quiet room as I can’t sleep. He refused and again told me to leave if I want to!!
There were kids and dogs above so you can imagine the horrible nights I spent there.
There wasn’t any group by the way!!!
However I’m wondering if he did this because I’m a woman travelling alone or because I’m a foreigner!!
He was aloof, haughty and didn’t show any understanding and wasn’t helpful with his attitude.
To make things worse, he wasn’t honest!!
It is a pity as the place is nice.

Nous avons passé six jours de vacances à l’hôtel Le Troubadour . L’accueil est chaleureux que ce soit Franck Mathieu ou les parents de Franck. Tout le monde est aux petits soins pour vous bavard de renseignements ni de conseils aussi bien sur les restaurants alentours ou sur les balades à faire vraiment. Nous vous recommandons vivement de vous y arrêter, si vous passez à Rocamadour et n’oublions pas toupie qui venez nous rendre une petite visite tous les matins.

Un hôtel propre.. le personnel est très sympathique..et la piscine n'en parlons pas absolument géniale surtout par temps de canicule ???? nous reviendrons

Un endroit très agréable, très cosy et reposant. Le responsable de l établissement est à l écoute et vous offre un accueil très chaleureux. Je recommande vivement.
