CHÂTEAU LADAUSSE

A beautiful chateau in the tranquil woods of Monflanquin with a fantastic chef and menu. We were staying nearby and requested a re-heat dinner upon arrival and another dinner at the chateau for 20 guests. Eric, Diane and Rafael exceeded our expectations! Our at- home dinner was delicious - charcuterie/vegetable platter, fresh pork, creamy potato gratin, homemade apple tarte with homemade ice cream. WOW - even the grandchildren who have very particular tastes, enjoyed all the dishes! Likewise, our dinner in the chateau courtyard was splendid. Many of the ingredients were homegrown in their garden or locally sourced. Eric, our gracious host, was very hospitable and shared some history of the chateau in between courses. Moreover, the wines, the entre, the main courses and dessert were perfect. What a memorable family experience! Thank you Eric and Diane for sharing your cuisine and talents with us.

Beautiful beautiful chateau with the most wonderful hosts. Gorgeous grounds and pool, walks in the woods. Country life at its best, with the best chateau dog!

I would note that this listing for Chateau Ladausse is based on its technical listing as a food establishment, I believe; there is a separate and much more populated TA page to visit based on the overall experience there as a bed and breakfast.||||We had an amazing time at Chateau Ladausse, and our only regret that was we didn’t stay longer than two nights. The manor house is like something out of a magazine, beautifully decorated, updated and charming. We stayed in the Ladausse Suite, which is very large and bright — our favorite suite in the house. This is one case where the room turned out to be even better than the pictures! Diane and Eric were wonderful and friendly hosts, and our favorite moment was a cooking class for my husband and me in the well appointed professional kitchen, followed by a fun dinner with the best conversation with our hosts and Diane’s cousin and her boyfriend. We loved wandering around the property, and the location is great for seeing the towns of the nearby Dordogne Valley. A walk through the quiet town of Montferrand-du-Perigord was one of our best memories of a two-week trip to France. We can’t recommend Chateau Ladausse highly enough.

Simply outstanding. This charming chateau has such a wonderful atmosphere, and we were made so welcome by Eric and Diane. Our two young boys loved exploring the unique setting, and had such fun playing with the resident dog Skippy. I highly recommend!
