I phoned and was relieved to find that the proprietor had found it and would keep it safe. When I went to collect it today, I was greeted by the incredibly friendly and helpful owner with all of my dad’s belongs, including all of his cash, in place. He explained he had tried to alert them, but they had driven off already.
So a huge thank you from me and my parents. Such honestly and hospitality is what makes the Hautes-Pyrénées. I will certainly be making this my regular refreshment stop whenever we pass through Gerde to support this wonderful business.
