Ce fut notre première expérience en chambre d hôtes et nous n avons pas été déçus! Gilles et Jim ont été aux petits soins pour nous satisfaire. La maison est juste magnifique,chaleureuse et décorée avec goût . Le jardin avec piscine est très agréable, et très bien entretenu.
Nous recommandons vivement cette adresse et y retournerons pour profiter par la même occasion du marché gourmand de Fongrave.

The location is just a short walk from the Lot river in a quaint village. The rooms are very well appointed and designed. Jim & Gilles were excellent hosts and very helpful with recommendations and information about the area. We had great conversation and great food. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at Les Martinets! Jim and Gilles are excellent host and they pay attention to every detail. The bedrooms are very comfortable with posh bedding and modern bathrooms. The common areas and pool are all very inviting and the entire house has been beautifully restored. The little village of Fongrave is very quaint in a bucolic setting on the banks of The River Lot. Gilles is a gourmet chef so we opted for the dinner selection and dinner was outstanding! Breakfast was also very tasty with many choices. I would highly recommend a stay at Les Martinets.

We kwamen onaangekondigd maar de heren van Les Martinets lieten ons direct thuisvoelen. In de zon een heerlijke rode wijn. Toen wisten we dat we in Frankrijk waren. De kamers zijn mooi ingericht en zeer schoon. Het ontbijt is fantastisch. Les Martinets is een aanrader.

Wow! This is by far the most fantastic place I have stayed in, ever (and I am quite old and have stayed in many, many places). Firstly, your lovely hosts Jim and Gilles will charm the socks off you, and will go above and beyond to make your stay memorable. Then they will cook you sublime food. Next they will show you to the most stunningly stylish rooms where you have every convenience possible and you will (guaranteed) have the best night's sleep. I don't know where they got their beds from, but so so so comfortable. The location is gorgeous, so beautiful and peaceful, and so many lovely places within easy reach. If you are looking for a break in southwest France, try your best to book this place.

What an amazing place! The hosts JIm and Gilles are outstanding! So welcoming! The facilities are first class and an amazing ambience! Definitely a gem of a place for a getaway! The breakfasts are the best ever! Never tasted such good poached eggs! We will be back ????

What an amazing find in the south of France, Lot et Garonne ????|This place has the most superb facilities, incredible hosts (Jim and Gilles), hospitality and food to die for! Absolutely incredible! It’s a must and we will definitely be back! Blown away ????|The rooms are incredible, modern, stylish, super clean and totally functional! The beds are sublime ????|The only fault was we couldn’t stay longer! Out of this world! Until the next time! Definitely recommend and will definitely be back and recommend to others ????????????????????????

A relaxing family home. Jim & Gilles are such wonderful hosts. Not only were they attentive to our all our needs but also showed us what the area had to offer.We went to a local farmers market for food & entertainment, the whole village attends such a lovely atmosphere. We went to a local chateau for a fish & chip supper , it was fabulous.We took a river cruise & eat at a local restaurant -Bugatel. They also directed to a restaurant called Walnut which is about 40 mins drive from Frongrave which serves traditional Sunday Roasts. If you wanted to go further afield they could direct you.We have had such a wonderful time, we will be back . Di Bush

Stayed at this wonderful B&B for 4 nights . The house is beautiful, with lovely en-suite rooms, all tastefully decorated. It has a fabulous swimming pool and very private large garden. However what really made my stay were the hosts Jim and Gilles . They are great company , knowledgeable about the area , but also leave you to your own devices most of the time. I would reccomend the lovely breakfasts and at a small additional charge, they will make the most fantastic dinners.
Although I didn't have a child with me, I will bring my granddaughter here, great family rooms, toys games and even mini tractors for them to roam.
What's not to like about this place. I'll be back ! Thank you Jim and Gilles.

My husband and three small kids (aged 10mths, 3 and 5 years) stayed at this wonderful B&B for 3 nights in July and we loved it. The owners Gilles and Jim are fantastic and really looked after us. It felt like a home from home. The accommodation is tasteful and the family room set up was perfect for us. The kids enjoyed the tractors, new playground and pool, plus the toys and books that were placed inside their room. The food was also delicious and something we all looked forward to daily. They were even kind enough to accommodate different meal times for the kids. We will be back next year!

We stayed for a night after our flights were changed at the last minute, meaning we needed to book an additional night somewhere - and what a fantastic final day/night we had here!

The hosts, Jim and Gilles, could not have been more accommodating and welcoming. As three families with seven children in total ranging from aged 2-13 years old, it’s fair to say that we were a fairly lively party of guests and our hosts warmly embraced this. We were made to feel at home and couldn’t have asked for more. Little touches make all the difference and things like being brought drinks, ice lollies, etc just added to the comfort and relaxation that we felt.

In terms of the accommodation and facilities themselves, it was spot on. There was lots for the kids to do (pool, play area, games) and the house itself is just beautifully done. One major bonus is also that the house is entirely secure for little ones, meaning that we weren’t worrying about them escaping or hurting themselves (parent worries). We could just relax. I would highly recommend it for families with young children on this basis.

In the evening, we had the most AMAZING meal cooked for us. It was genuinely one of the nicest meals I’ve ever eaten, just absolutely stunning food. We relaxed, enjoyed one another’s company (and the company of our hosts). It was the perfect end to our holiday.

First-class mension guarantees you a very relaxing stay. Spend a few days here, relaxing by the swimming pool after leasurely exploring the several villages closeby. The amazing hosts are happy to serve you with outstanding dinners.

The most fabulous “little” (it’s a grand chateau) house in the south of France! Perfectly located for a lovely stroll through the town or down to the river.
Perfect driving distance, with beautiful views of the rolling country side, to all the near by historic medieval towns. Beautiful architecture and stunning churches nestled in between lovely quaint little cafes. Everything was clean and beautiful and carefully thought out! Our host was amazing! Can’t wait to go back and visit again!
