We stayed for a month and paid about €2,400 for house 297, plus a €150 deposit. You can either clean the place yourself or pay a €150 cleaning fee—we chose to clean it ourselves.

We spent over two hours cleaning: mopped floors, cleaned the oven, sink, dishes, all rooms and beds. But after we left, we were told our full deposit would be kept due to a few unclean dishes, some dust, and marks on the bin.

The issue is that the dishwasher in house 297 doesn’t work properly—the soap compartment is broken, so dishes can’t be cleaned well. No other dishwashing tools were provided either.

Given the effort we put in and the faulty dishwasher, we believe keeping the full deposit is unfair. Please inspect house 297, especially the dishwasher, and get back to us. We’d appreciate a refund of the deposit and hope to settle this in a fair way—we’d like to return in the future.

While the resort itself is beautiful, the way they handled our departure left a very bad impression. After checking out, we received an email stating we would be charged €150 for not leaving the accommodation clean — citing dirty dishes, debris on the floor, and an uncleaned bin.

What they failed to acknowledge is that the dishwasher in our unit was not working properly, which made it nearly impossible to properly clean up these dishes. We did our best to tidy the place, but it’s unreasonable to expect guests to clean dishes without functioning appliances — and then penalize them for the same FULL price as a cleaning fee, when we already did a LOT of the cleaning.

This felt unfair, inflexible, and frankly disappointing after such a long and otherwise good stay.
