Easily one of the best overnight stays we have had in France. We stopped off between the UK and Austria, as close to the Autoroute.
However, I'm sure it would make a good base for exploring nearby Metz and the surrounding area. La Maison Ruffinoise is situated in a pleasant and peaceful village.
As the other reviews here attest, the rooms are beautifully decorated, generous in size and very comfortable. Breakfast included delicious local produce and is taken downstairs in a cleverly designed link building in the old courtyard.
The owner Muriel is welcoming, attentive and thorough but then leaves you to relax and enjoy the wonderful accommodation she has created.

Merci!!! Pour l'accueil, pour le service, pour les explications de la dame, pour le calme, pour la beauté de l'endroit, pour le petit déjeuner local, pour la qualité de l'ensemble.
On ne peut qu'être ravi, nous avons fait beaucoup de weekend, pour le plaisir de découvrir, que ce soit l'endroit où les habitants, de tous, je pense que c'est le plus beau, le plus accueillant, le plus propre.
Surtout faites vous plaisir, vous ne le regretterez pas, c était parfait ????

Mooi landelijk gelegen, in een dorpje vlakbij Metz, verbouwd huis. Kamers zijn in bijgebouw, met serre aan woonhuis vastgemaakt. Met veel zorg door zeer precieze eigenaresse verbouwd en gedecoreerd. Auto kan naast huis worden geparkeerd. Riant ontbijt dat in serre of op terrasje kan worden genuttigd. Lekker bed. Eigenaresse kan erg veel informatie over Metz geven.

L'accueil de Muriel est très agréable ; elle a été aux petits soins pour nous avec un bon petit déjeuner, des suggestions de visites.
