The architecture of the Centre Pompidou alone is worth the visit – bold, elegant, and full of light. I explored two unforgettable exhibitions: Maurizio Cattelan’s ironic, provocative works and Marina Abramović’s participative experience “Counting the Rise.”
Although I didn’t have enough time to take part in the participatory tasks set up in Abramović’s exhibition space, I still found the concept inspiring and thought-provoking. The atmosphere invites deep reflection and engagement with the human experience.
In addition, on the second floor, visitors can discover works by over 40 international contemporary artists – a diverse and fascinating collection that adds even more depth and colour to the visit.
You should definitely plan to spend a few hours or more to fully appreciate everything.

On est passé par là. Notez bien que c'est fermé le mardi. Mais déjà de l'extérieur et avec l'explication d'un guide de l'Office de tourisme de Metz. Très belle architecture

Un incontournable de Metz. Je vais à Pompidou Metz depuis son ouverture. Nous allons très régulièrement découvrir les nouvelles expo. Ici, toutes les expo sont temporaires. Nous sommes des fans d'art contemporain et moderne et rarement déçu par les propositions du Pompidou qui sait se renouveler ! Et puis le bâtiment en lui même vaut le détour, le célèbre chapeau chinois messin est un incontournable !
N'hésitez pas à aborder les médiateurs lors de vos visites pour leur demander plus de précisions sur telle ou telle oeuvre; ils sont là pour ça !

Centre Pompidou-Metz is a really cool spot in Metz with some unforgettable architecture—like the entrance that looks kinda like ????, which made me chuckle. Inside, the art is just as interesting. My favorite was this elephant sculpture wrapped in white cloth—it was super striking.
There wasn’t one main theme that grabbed me, but there was a good mix of contemporary art to check out. The staff were nice, and I liked that all the art info was in both English and French, which helps tourists a lot.
I’d definitely recommend it to friends and family, especially if they’re into art. The unique building, varied exhibits, and friendly vibe make it worth a visit.

Eines der modernen Sehenswürdigkeiten von Metz. Beherbergt künstlerische Ausstellungen und dient als Museum. 3 Galerien im jeweiligen Format eines Sechsecks bestimmten das Innere des Gebäudes.. 2010 eröffnet ist es zu einem der Attraktionen der Stadt geworden.. Die Angrenzende Mall sorgt für einen belebten Eindruck

Assolutamente una chicca di Metz! Siamo venuti apposta per visitare questo museo e vedere la mostra di cattelan e della Abramovich e siamo stati estremamente soddisfatti della nostra visita! Il museo è esteticamente molto bello sia dall’esterno che dall’interno, vicino alla stazione e a un parcheggio. La mostra di cattelan è su due piani, c’è poi un’altra mostra al terzo piano e all’esterno c’è la possibilità di partecipare alla performance della abramovich che consiglio tantissimo! Nonostante fosse di sabato non c’era tanta gente.

The building is fantastic; wonderful exhibitions - we spent lots of time in the Caribbean post-slavery exhibition.
Restaurant menu looked awesome and the food smelt compelling but they were booked out. Instead we enjoyed a quiche Loraine and bières framboises at the cafe.
Now we are art tossers.

Super musée, nous y sommes allé pour l'exposition "Dimanche sans fin" de Maurizio Cattelan. C'était vraiment intéressant, avec en plus une pièce interactive vraiment touchante.

Spreek gerust de " mediaters" aan voor meer uitleg rond kunstwerken van de hier georganiseerde tijdelijke tentoonstellingen. Een absolute meerwaarde bij het bezoek !
