It might feel like we Vietnamese tourists are gaing up on the Palais Banh Bao, but the disapointment is so deep, i have to publish another comment here.
We passed by the Palais Banh Bao on our visit to Metz. The window view was appealing enough for us to come in and after tasting 1 banh bao, we were satisfied enough with how it looked and tasted to order 60pc for our group. We came back few hours after to pick up our order, already packed in bags. And then when we got home and opened the bags, disapointment hit hard. 90% of the banh bao given to us was defected!!! A standard banh bao should be round, the filling well covered by the dough. But ours were opened, the filling revealed to dry out, super uggly, the kind that you cannot sell to anyone! As if Palais Banh Bao knew that we were tourists so they decided to take advantages of us. And it is even sader to do it to your compatriots (we talked to a Viet lady who works there, in Vietnamese).
We also bought some Nems. To put it simply: uneatable! The cover is so thick and hard, i wouldnt give it to my grand parents to avoid dentist costs. The filling is sad, with only some noodle and black mushroom, and super salty. The deeping sauce is sold separately at skyrocket price...
This was my first and my last visit to this place, and i will only recommend it to my enemies!

Sincèrement déçu ! C était mon premier achat et ça restera le dernier. Les nems sont très durs et secs. Les sauces de poisson Nuoc mam sont vendus à part a un prix qui sont exorbitant, ce qui n est pas le cas chez les autres traiteur. Le Banh bao commandé le midi pour le soir n'est pas acceptable en état : grande ouverture sur le dessus, alors que ca doit être sensé d être fermé pour une meilleure cuisson de la farce a l intérieur. Ainsi, la farce est tout sèche.
La serveuse était en plus pas du tout agréable.
Bref, je ne recommande absolument pas !

J‘ai l‘Impression que j‘avais été anarquée. J‘ai commandé 60 banhbao et quand j‘ai ouvert le sac à la maison je me trouve avec les banhbao dans les mauvais forme (pas à la cause de la livraison car j’ai marché chez moi). Quand j’ai dégoute au restaurant, c’était pas mal. mais les banhbao emportés sont pas bon.. J‘ai acheté aussi 20 nems et ils sont encore pire que ceux dans un autre commentaire (sec, dur, ouvert)
De plus la vendeuse n‘est pas du tout agréable.
On reviendra jamais. À déconseiller.
