The Chapelle de Saint-Rouin, located near Beaulieu-en-Argonne in the Meuse region of France, is a striking example of modern religious architecture. Built between 1954 and 1961, the chapel blends minimalist design with its tranquil, forested surroundings. Designed by Father Louis-Bertrand Rayssiguier, it features a unique trapezoidal structure and a seven-meter-high cross, with stained-glass windows by Japanese artist Kimié Bando providing beautiful natural light. Accessible via hiking trails, it’s a serene spot for reflection and pilgrimage, making it a must-visit for those interested in contemporary architecture and peaceful nature.
