MAS LA TAILLEDE

Myself and my partner hosted a 12 person yoga retreat at La Taillede in September 2024. The venue was perfect: a stunning, peaceful location, amazing facilities and hosts Ali and Matt who could not have been more helpful! We have already rebooked for 2025 and 2026!

I recently hosted a retreat here for my clients, and it was truly exceptional.

From the moment we arrived, it exceeded all of our expectations.

The rooms are of the highest standard,beautiful, spacious, and spotlessly clean.

The location itself is absolutely breathtaking, surrounded by nature and perfect for getting away from it all.

The hosts were incredible, warm, welcoming, and attentive to every detail, making sure we had everything we needed to create an unforgettable experience.

My clients couldn’t stop talking about how amazing everything was, the space, the atmosphere, and the overall sense of peace and connection we felt.

If you’re thinking about hosting a retreat or even just getting away for a few days, I can’t recommend this place enough.

It’s a special place that brings out the best in people and I know we’ll be back!

This is a magical place, we had a fantastic time, especially our daughter who loved feeding the animals each morning. They have a private chef who we booked for a meal which was excellent also. The views are incredible and the sunrises each day over the ever changing Pyreneean view was unforgettable.
Something to note:- the 10 minute very bumpy track up to the house means that you are unlikely to go out each day, but more positively forces you to slow down and enjoy the relaxing environment. Overall though a very special stay (worthy of my 40th celebrations) and we would definitely come back for another visit in future!

An incredible property lovingly restored and maintained by welcoming and generous hosts. I was very fortunate to participate in a recent retreat and I spent a few blissful days here. The setting, the buildings, the history, the attention to detail, and the ambiance were all top notch. The animals also added so much charm and joy to the experience. I very much hope to return someday and explore the surrounding local towns as well. I highly recommend this magical place.

What a fabulous week I've just spent on a retreat at La Taillede.

The location is exquisite, nestled above the clouds in the French Pyrenees and an oasis of calm and gentle quietude that Ali & Matt have created up here.

We spent the week practicing yoga, meditation and chanting with our gracious retreat leader Audrey, fed like gods by our chef Clara, open-hearted massage by Audrey the onsite masseur and our fabulous host & hiking guide Ali who so kindly shared her knowledge and passion for the area and her flock of animals. The hike with the donkeys was a particular highlight, as was jumping in the rather chilly mountain river!

I can't leave a review without mentioning the animals as they play a large part of La Taillede's charm. Biquette the goat was entertaining, as was Lovely the cat - a constant companion, and Apollo and Tai the dogs our comrades when we left the farm, with or without Ali.

The cosy warm fires and choice of hot tubs and sauna as well as a refreshing dips in the pool, made the stay so much more pleasurable.

The gite I shared was warm and cosy, especially with the fire lit and the other gite where we ate and the yurt where we sometimes practiced yoga were delightful. Ali and Matt's attention to detail, above and beyond hosting and hard work over the last 10 years make this place such an incredible haven that I'm in 2 minds whether leaving such a raving review is such a good idea!
