Magnifique cimetière, on pourrait s'y perdre tellement c'est grand ! C'est si paisible.. Je recommande vivement d'aller contempler ces sublimes sculptures

A curious old cemetery founded in 1812 and expanded in 1863. Most exquisite tombstones and mausoleums belong to prominent families of the city, most of whom used to be wine makers. The place is well maintained. One could find magnificent cypress trees all along the paths throughout the entire 4 hectares of the cemetery's area. Of course, there are cemetery cats who are a bit skittish, but you can take a few pictures, if you are lucky, before they run away.

Sehenswerter Ort, historischer Friedhof. Gemischt aus historischen Grabstätten von 1880 bis zu aktuellen. Beeindruckend.

Interesting cemetery which we discovered whilst walking 'off-piste'!
Very elaborate tomb stones and family tombs.
The cemetery is very well kept, tidy paths and tall pencil cypress trees abound. I was impressed with the watering can 'rental' system at the entrance to the cemetery.
If these are average graves then it must be very expensive to die here!

Très beau cimetière avec entre autre la sculpture d Injalbert sur la tombe familiale.
Et un tombeau maçonnique intriguant et la vierge du moucadou.
Je rajoute une bonne note aussi car le gardien est aussi une personne très sympathique, qui est venu à ma rencontre pour me proposer un fascicule explicatif sur les différentes tombes. ????????????
