After returning from our 3rd visit at Chateau de Varenne we again experienced 5* hospitality from Paul, Emma and the rest of the team. Should it be relaxing by the pool, breakfast on the terrace with exquisite views or visiting the local Vin yards. I couldn’t recommend it enough!

The Chateau is really well renovated, and ist just a lovely place for a short stay. It is not easy to find a B&B in a Chateau that is so well maintained. The welcome was very warm and friendly. |You have to realize that this place is in a small town without any decent restaurant, so you have to drive 10 minutes to Villeneuve lez Avignon, where you have plenty of good choices. We had a nice dinner there. Breakfast next morning was very good. |So, our stay was very nice but we had 2 issues. First of all, our room was upstairs and it was very noisy. If your neighbor goes to the bathroom you hear everything. Our neighbor took a shower at 6 in the morning, we were fully awake. The second point was the shower. If you pay 300 Euro's for a B&B, I expect to be able to take a decent shower. The water pressure was so low, that showering is a real challenge (standing in a bath without a shower wall). |As we don't like to write a review without having addressed the issue, we discussed our problem at the check out. The reaction of the lady that checked us out was very strange: OK, thank you! I was waiting if she would ask or say something more, but she just continued her work. So, there is quit some room for improvement in how to handle a customer complaint.

Absolutely stunning property and had a completely relaxing stay enjoying the pool, communal game rooms, honor bar, lovely terraces to eat or read a book, & petanque court. Emma, Paul (& Woody) are amazing hosts, and Sandrine and Marc and all the staff are very welcoming and helpful with local recommendations. We hope to be back very soon!
Das Anwesen selbst strahlt eine außergewöhnliche Schönheit aus. Jedes Detail, von den antiken Möbeln bis zu den kunstvoll gestalteten Gärten, zeugt von einer tiefen Liebe zum Detail. Morgens erwartete uns ein kleines, aber feines Frühstück mit hochwertigen Speisen, das den Tag perfekt einleitete.
Für das Abendessen empfiehlt es sich, die malerischen Dörfer der Umgebung zu erkunden – ein Auto ist hierbei sehr nützlich. Die Gastgeberfamilie war überaus herzlich und aufmerksam, was unseren Aufenthalt unvergesslich machte.
Das Château de Verenne ist ein wahrer Schatz in der Provence, ideal für Familien und Erholungssuchende gleichermaßen.
