From the moment we checked in, we were assigned a room filled with a pungent sewage odor, poor sound insulation, and outdated facilities. When we requested a refund to leave the hotel, it was denied, even when we offered to accept just a 50% refund as a compromise. Instead, we were moved to a ground-floor room without a balcony, despite having paid for the hotel’s best available room.
Our Experience with the Room
The sewage smell was pungent and unbearable.
The sound insulation was extremely poor—we could clearly hear noises from the next room and the corridor.
The hairdryer stopped working after just one minute of use.
The narrow elevator was completely different from what the hotel advertised.
Service Issues
The daytime front desk staff was rude and completely disrespectful, from her quote "No one will refund you! " refusing our refund request outright.
Their idea of compensation was a takeaway breakfast, which was completely unacceptable and in no way made up for the terrible experience. Naturally, we refused it.
The night-shift receptionist was the only good experience I had at this hotel—he was professional, reliable, and constructive in his communication. If you must stay here, I strongly recommend checking in after 7 PM to avoid dealing with the daytime staff.
The next morning, when we made it clear that we were leaving, the daytime receptionist again responded in an accusatory and confrontational manner, even arguing with my girlfriend. It was frustrating and unacceptable.
This receptionist seems to be the biggest problem in this hotel—if she treats every guest this way, then the hotel is beyond saving. If she only treated us like this, I have every reason to suspect that this was racial discrimination.
