Free admission to a very nice museum especially when people are visiting other major attractions. Very worthwhile to visit. Close to Napoleon's tomb.

Paris’in daha az kalabalık ama en az Louvre kadar etkileyici müzelerinden biri: Petit Palais. Champs-Élysées’ye çok yakın bir konumda yer alıyor ve mimarisiyle ilk andan itibaren büyülüyor. Giriş tamamen ücretsiz, bu da onu Paris’te sanata dokunmak isteyenler için harika bir seçenek haline getiriyor.

İçeri adım attığınızda hem bina içindeki süslemeler hem de sergilenen sanat eserleri sizi içine çekiyor. Koleksiyon ağırlıklı olarak 19. yüzyıl Fransız sanatına odaklanıyor. Monet, Courbet, Delacroix gibi isimlerin eserlerini görmek beni oldukça etkiledi. Bunun yanında heykeller, dövizler, antik objeler ve Art Nouveau vitrinleri de dikkat çekici.

Avlu kısmı ise adeta saklı bir cennet gibi. Küçük bahçesi ve ortasındaki kafe, kalabalık Paris sokaklarından uzaklaşıp huzur bulmak için mükemmel. Özellikle hava güzelse burada kahve içmek ayrı bir keyif.

Müze düzeni çok sade ve anlaşılır, ziyaretçiyi yormadan gezme imkanı sunuyor. Sessiz atmosferi, iyi aydınlatılmış galerileri ve zengin koleksiyonu ile kültürel bir mola vermek isteyen herkese öneririm. Paris’e gelen her sanatseverin listesine eklemesi gereken bir durak olduğunu düşünüyorum.

Went to see the temporary exhibition Design Bijoux. Fascinating and gorgeous. Detailed drawings showing designs from inspiration to gauche drawings and in some cases even the jewelry items themselves. Very well laid out. Large area descriptions are in French and English but individual descriptions for exhibits are usually in French only. There's a short film in French with English subtitles. Well worth the visit. The exhibit covers approximately 1850 - 1930 French houses of fine jewelry design.

Beautiful museum with an impressive collection! Most of the statues on display have English descriptions, which makes it easy to appreciate the art even if you don’t speak French. A great place to explore art and history in a peaceful setting — and it’s free!
