We booked Hyatt Paris Madeleine using Chase points, which meant we got a room on the first floor by the elevator overlooking the courtyard. As to be expected! But the room itself needed some love. There were some scuffs and stains on the walls and curtains, and overall it felt a little dingy. It was a bit more spacious than we expected as we were able to walk around, but it definitely needed some TLC.
Location is fine, not a ton going on right outside the hotel but a short walk away gets you to the M14 metro and some cafes and shops. A little sleepier than La Marais but still felt safe and close-ish to the hustle and bustle!
The staff were so kind; they checked us in promptly and even got us a room a few hours early. They held our luggage while we explored Paris while waiting for the room, and even put our bags in the room for us once it was ready. A nice touch! We ordered room service which was delivered promptly! (I will say, I requested a non-feather pillow on the Hyatt app and it never came until I called down! So don’t trust the app!)
I loved the happy hour for our free drink; it helped get us out of our room and ready for a night out!
Overall I’d recommend staying here but only if you shell out a bit more € or have a higher Hyatt status than we did. I bet the nicer rooms make for a better experience!
