Hotel du Champ du Mars is a beautiful, sophisticated small hotel in one of Paris's best neighborhoods. Rue Cler has authentic shops selling cheese or wine or bread or flowers. Small sidewalk cafes run by the same families for couple generations. Beautiful street. We got to know some of the people working at the hotel. They were friendly and knew what they were doing! Offered great advice on how to enjoy Paris. We had a room on the front of the hotel with the tall windows opening onto the street. Fresh air and view more than compensated for the noise of Parisians enjoying a glass of wine on the street below us. The bedrooms are European small but decorated with style. This hotel is classier and more comfortable than the bustling impersonal 5 star hotels in the middle of town.

Small and lovely hotel. Staff is very attentive. Lovely continental breakfast is available with a chance to meet other guests. There is a pedestrian street 1/2 block away with nice restaurants and a few shops. Quiet setting but still close to many museums and the Eiffel Tower.

Coffee should be provided for guests, even a Keurig or Nespresso machine in the lobby. Rooms very small. End tables by the bed could have a drawer or shelf for travelers to store items. Shelling or storage of some kind in the bath would be great for toiletries too|Lobby seating not adequate or comfortable|The location is fantastic though

Spent 7 delightful nights at this hotel just 1/2 block from the restaurants on the Rue Cler. Beds very comfortable. Host, Francoise, arranged our taxi to and from the airport. Breakfast was generous with coffee, fresh orange juice, fresh croissants and other baked goods. Very close to major bus routes.

Charming, clean rooms, warm service and a perfect location just steps from Rue Cler but far enough away to be quiet. Wonderful introduction to Paris
