HÔTEL DE LILLE ^{* * * *}

This is a great location, literally minutes walk to the river and musée d’orsay. We love this side of the river: the bars, the people, the restaurants and streets - of which there are lots by this hotel. The rooms are very small - the lift fits two people and suitcases with a squeeze - but that is Paris. It is clean, full of chic character and cosy. The use of space in the rooms is very clever, nothing like being in an easy-hotel, and you have everything you need. The bathroom is essentially a glass box in the room, so not much privacy if you need it!|The staff were kind, helpful, gave us good recommendations for breakfast and kept our cases safe after we checked out so we could continue to explore. I didn’t love that you had to leave your room keys in a little bowl at reception when you left - it didn’t feel very safe - but there was staff there the whole time.

You can't get more Paris than this! Steps away from the Louvre, Musée d'Orsay, and multiple metro stations—location is chef’s kiss! The place is spotless (seriously, you could eat a croissant off the floor), and the front desk crew? Absolute legends—friendly, helpful, and always smiling like they know where to get the best pain au chocolat.

Rooms are kept so clean you'd think Marie Kondo personally approved them.
Only minor quirk? The elevator is... how do I say this? Let’s just say it’s cozy enough to turn strangers into lifelong friends. One person, one baguette, and it’s full.

Still, I'd book it again faster than you can say “oui oui”!

Overall a good hotel in an ideal location. Friendly staff at the front desk. I did not have the need to ask them to do anything for me so I cant comment on service. Rooms were cleaned daily. Ideal location close to the Musee D'Orsay and the Louvre. Some very nice restaurants within 100M.
Our room was very small (double deluxe) so much so that i thought we were given the wrong room initially, however I understand this is indicative of hotels in Paris. Even though, I found our room quite cramped but at least there were clever storage options for luggage and clothing so overall, it worked out fine. The room itself was otherwise quite comfortable and quiet. The bathroom was small but had adequate room to negotiate some small items for storage. Hot water took a few minutes to take full effect but the shower was excellent. The floor was uneven tilting right to left making things seem a little unbalanced. The stairs were quite a challenge to descend - risking injury should one descend quickly. The fire alarm went off (due to burnt toast somewhere) and the stairs were very difficult to negotiate. I would warn against this for elderly patrons. The lift is otherwise fine.
My other issue was the imposition of a City tax after the all fees were paid using Booking.com- it is mentioned as a possibility in the fine print but this is the first time I had to pay "extra" after paying for the accomodation online 6 month prior, they should just charge it at the same time.
Overall, I would recommend the hotel due to its location, levels of comfort and cleanliness as long as you are prepared to have a small style room. If I can do it, Im sure most people could.
Paris isnt cheap but I feel I got reasonable value for money. St Germain certainly is a good area to stay.

On our honeymoon we wanted a reasonable sized room, so we went for a deluxe double room. but the room was VERY small and after discussing it with the night manager he said he could do nothing.||In the end we booked somewhere else, for the same price and got a room that is double the size, only 5min by foot (Millesieme Hotel).||The only thing that we liked is that the room was clean.

The place is very nice. Very clean and very friendly staff. Just few minutes walk from Louvre and pretty close to Notre dam de Paris. Lot of nice restaurants just around the hotel. The room is super small. Its just a bed and thats it. The shower is good and pretty spacious. Overall enough, since no one stays in the room while being in the center of Paris :)
