Ordered a a glass of red wine (beautiful) and a steak cooked medium rare. The steak was cooked well done- aside from that it was so tough it was inedible. I tried a piece from the side of the steak and a piece from the middle but it was all bad. I very gently told the waiter that it was so tough and was over cooked. He apologised and offered to bring me another. He mentioned that the next one might be the same so could try something else. I ended up ordering a Cobb Salad, it was average at best, but it did have lovely big pieces of blue cheese in there.
Everything was fine until I asked for the bill and saw that I was charged for the steak.
I questioned the waiter who replied that once I touched the steak I had to pay for it. This argument went on for approximately 15mins.
It was extremely embarrassing and unpleasant. Obviously won’t be returning and am disappointed that I don’t have positive feedback about the restaurant or the staff.

Une cantine italienne sans surprise : c'est simple et très bon.. (très bonne salade cobb pour moi.. et un burger classique pour mon amie qui, gourmande, a enchaîné avec un délicieux tiramisu)
Un service adorable ce midi là qui donne envie de revenir pour un repas entre collègues ou entre amis à l'heure du déjeuner...

Typical cafe. Had the petit dejeuner special-croissant,fresh OJ,coffee,bread,jam . They also offer the new-york style breakfast. Quiet area. On the Cler street. A few blocks from Champ de Mars(Eiffel tower).
