The hotel is one of the best hotels in Paris. It offers the intimacy of a boutique hotel together with the services of a grand hotel. As you can see in my ratings below it is excellent in every aspect.

We first stayed at the Récamier about five years ago and we now never stay anywhere else when we go to Paris, which is 2-3 times a year.

My wife and I have stayed at Recamier many times over the last 20 years. Our last visit ended yesterday. This is not a luxe hotel on a busy Paris boulevard with a Michelin restaurant on the ground floor. This hotel with its welcoming staff gives you what you want: Refined elegance offered at a reasonable price.Take a club room overlooking San Sulpice. Perfectly located on a quiet square adjacent to the magnificent church with a grove of trees in front of the entry. Just right! Service is exceptional. Many of the staff have been there for years and they care about making your stay comfortable. Rooms are clean, housekeeping accommodates your schedule, and the front desk is manned at all hours by someone who can speak English. The hotel is located near shops and restaurants and is walking distance to must sees. We don’t do reviews often but we felt we owed it to this fine establishment to give an opinion. You will not regret choosing Recamier.

This is a gorgeous little hotel in a tucked away corner next to St Suplice so a magical location. We stayed in 2 rooms over our stay - the smallest and the largest! The small classic room is very small and I think only suitable for one night or one person as nowhere to put a suitcase. The larger club room was really lovely and much more comfortable. The rooms were very nicely furnished with a clever use of mirrors to make them seem larger. Both rooms had very comfy beds, nice linens and were very clean. Both also had showers over tubs which were really hard to get in and out of as the bath was so high. It must have been designed by someone with really long legs and you either need to be tall and agile or use the provided stool (!) and have a helper! Breakfast was simple and good, and while it seemed expensive at first glance, actually when comparing to bistros in the area it was worth staying in. I was a little surprised that there was no turn down service, with towels refreshed if necessary etc, as would expect that at this price point. Everyone was very friendly and polite and the hotel had a very nice feel. Overall we loved our stay and would like to come back.
