HÔTEL DA VINCI ^{* * * *}

After researching hotels and locations I reached out directly to Hotel Da Vinci who immediately answered my questions and provided their best rate for our stay. ||||The staff are amazing, they can't do enough for you and are always on hand should you need some guidance. They booked some fantastic, local restaurants to try where the locals eat so it was very authentic. ||||The accommodation was warm (it was March) and super comfy with high quality bedding and pillows. The room and bathroom were spotless - I mean spotless! No sign of limescale, issues with grouting, etc we were truly impressed that the maintenance is so thorough. It was so good I asked whether we were the first people in the room after they might have had a renovation - they said that it hadn't been renovated for years! ||||I am very much looking forward to recommending this beautiful hotel to everyone thinking of visiting Paris as a stay here will make any trip even more special.

First off, I really don't understand some of the positive reviews for this place. I feel like we get scammed by just judging off reviews which can't be legit? We were really shocked by the small size of the space. Me and my husband were on this trip and one of us had to leave the room just to unpack - there was not enough space for 2 people. There was not enough space for our items to be unpacked - just one small storage cupboard. We barely had room to walk around the bed - it was THAT SMALL and this was the upgraded room! RE: bathroom space: It was impossible to even brush your teeth or dry your hair in the small bathroom space without your arm hitting the wall. The only thing that was decent size and felt clean was the shower. The toliet was in an entirely separate area and felt like you were sitting in a closet - it was very tight and there was no sink to wash your hands after - you had to walk around to the part of the room with the shower and sink - bizarre. The bed was decently comfortable but could have used more sleeping pillows as they were very squishy which I did like but they crumbled up to basically nothing. I felt like every time I moved in the room we saw dust particles everywhere - it just did not feel clean. I don't even know how the cleaning ladies manage to do a through clean in such a small space. Overall I did not find the hotel staff to be very friendly. Breakfast was terrible and I wish we did not pay for it. I tried the coffee the first day and spit it out it was so bitter. I ended up skipping breakfast there everyday and just going to a coffee/pastry shop as it was slim pickings at the breakfast bar. I was also really disappointed that we never got to try the spa which is part of the reason we stayed there. They said they were open 7 days a week so we made an appt for Monday and were then told they were closed on Monday. We then made an apt on Tuesday morning. We planned our entire morning around it as it was our last day and about 45 mins before we were going down we got a call to say it was cancelled and that they were having trouble with the spa. So disappointing. They didn't even seem that apologetic. I would never stay here again - was disappointed in all aspects and I am not one to write negative reviews . My husband was equally disapointed. It almost ruined our trip but we were determined to have a good time and we just tried to stay out of the room as much as possible. Only good thing is location.

The location is also fantastic, making it easy to discover nearby attractions while still enjoying a peaceful retreat.

We highly recommend Hotel Da Vinci & Spa to anyone looking for a memorable and charming stay. We can’t wait to return!
