Restaurant à fuir! De passage par la capitale, je me suis arrêtée dans ce restaurant où le serveur (patron) est condescendant, humiliant et vous ignore si vous ne commandez pas à son rythme ( vous snobe lorsque vous êtes prêts à commander puis s’agace lorsqu’il finit par venir si vous avez le malheur d’hésiter entre 2 plats). Aucun conseil sur les plats, arrogant à souhait, comportement de diva. Expérience horrible à éviter!! Je plains son personnel qui s’excuse pour lui lorsque vous faites une réflexion et que lui fait mine de ne pas comprendre votre mécontentement! Son attitude est INACCEPTABLE pour un restaurant qui affiche ces prix. J’aurais dû m’attarder sur les commentaires avant d’y mettre un pied! A FUIR!!!

As Texans, the name "Le Bouledogue" (translation: The Bulldog) gave us a grin — we imagined something casual or pub-like. But when we walked in, we were surprised in the best way. The atmosphere was refined and relaxed, with a romantic, business-class feel. Think soft lighting, quiet tables, and just enough Parisian charm to know you’re somewhere special.
We picked up a phrase in Paris — “Très bon!” — and let me tell you, it absolutely fit the meal.
We started with the French onion soup, and it was loaded with cheese — bubbling, baked just right, and deeply flavorful. One of the best versions we’ve had anywhere.
For the main course, we went with the daily special: a steak kebab served with mashed potatoes, followed by a strawberry dessert that reminded us of good ole strawberry shortcake back home. Every bite hit the spot — simple, well-prepared, and packed with flavor.
The staff were outstanding — warm, professional, and welcoming, just like Mary and her team at the hotel. Even with our limited French, they made us feel comfortable and looked after. The service was smooth and kind without being over-the-top.
If you're staying near Le Marais and looking for a spot that blends local charm, excellent food, and a quiet, polished setting, Le Bouledogue is a fantastic choice. Whether you’re out for a romantic dinner or just want a real Parisian meal done right, this place is, in a word — très bon.
