Out of all the dinner reservation I made for our trip to Paris, I was the most excited for this one. The History! Unfortunately, it fell short. The food was not great for the price and the service was bordering on unfriendly. I recommend stopping by for a coffee or aperitif to soak in the history, but skip the meal.

Absolutely fantastic service. Our charming waiter was knowledgeable and he made us feel so welcome. Definitely recommend you go here at least twice if you haven't been before.

Nous nous y sommes rendu un soir pour dîner.

Pour commencer, le personnel est très sympathique, nous a bien accueilli et accompagné tout au long du repas.

La cuisine est convenable, mais pas extraordinaire surtout au vu du prix affiché.

La salle est belle et l’ambiance correcte cependant nous avons pu y voir des rongeurs…

L’ensemble est moyen et flirt avec l’attrape touriste.

Extrêmement cher pour ce que c'est ! Vrai piège à touristes, attention ! Toute seule j'ai réglé 49 euros pour une assiette de coquillettes, un thé vert et une tartelette aux fraises ! La tartelette aux fraises, typique des desserts qu'on trouve en pâtisserie au prix de 4-6 euros, m'a coûté 17 euros !! Je n'ai pas eu la carte des desserts, une dame est venue à moi directement avec un plateau, je me suis faite complètement rouler. C'est ridicule, ce bistrot profite de sa réputation pour arnaquer les gens. Le goût est bon mais ça ne casse pas le plafond donc ça ne justifie absolument pas ce prix ! Je veux bien que l'on soit dans un bel endroit mais il ne faut pas en abuser non plus.

Nice place for a petit-dejeuner. Its old, historical and also has a great kitchen.

Food is overall little expensive, but quality is perfect.

A tip, know or learn what you are going to order because there are no pictures in menu.

The best hot chocolate in Paris, so rich and creamy. We were seated straight away around 3.30pm. Friendly waiter and delicious croque monsieur with chicken (rather than ham). Fresh mint tea was also excellent. On the expensive side but we thought it was worth it

The hot chocolate has got to be the best I've ever had in the whole of Europe! ????

The thickness, consistency, balance of the bitter notes, and mild sweetness are just perfect. I did not need the sweetened whipped cream, for I love my hot chocolate on the darker side, but for those who prefer a lighter and smoother experience, the cream would be a nice touch.

Big thanks to Timmy for giving me a nice spot where I can enjoy my dinner, hot chocolate, and write! I appreciate your friendliness and warmth! ❤️

Highly recommended for the hot chocolate that's for sure !!

Tip: do book in advance to secure a seat and they have pretty plentiful slots if you book a day or two in advanced!

We came for the name and left wondering why we bothered. €14 for a hot chocolate? That’s not indulgent, it’s daylight robbery. The “view” is nothing special unless you like watching traffic and tourists squeeze past cramped tables.

The coffee was so bad it made me want to gouge my tongue out – filtered misery in a cup. Staff were largely indifferent, bordering on rude, except for one friendly guy who clearly missed the memo on how to be Parisian.

On the bright side, the omelette was actually good – fluffy, tasty, and the only thing we finished with a smile.

Overall: historic name, but not worth the hype or the price. There are far better spots in Paris to sip, sit, and soak it all in. Follow the Parisians lead, not the rich American Emily’s (tourists).

Nous avons commandé un espresso, que ma mère n’a vraiment pas aimé. Elle l’a dit poliment au serveur, qui lui a répondu sèchement : « la prochaine fois, ne commandez pas ça ». Très impoli. Ensuite, il a appelé mon frère un “trouble maker” simplement parce qu’il avait changé de chaise. Ce genre de comportement est inacceptable dans un établissement censé accueillir les clients avec respect.

Cela dit, la nourriture était bonne, surtout le gâteau au chocolat (photo ci-dessous). Dommage que le service ait gâché l’expérience.

Une adresse mythique de boulevard St Germain, on y mange bien, le service est super et le jeudi vous avez un groupe de musique. Un incontournable lors d'une visite à Paris.

以前渋谷のお店でタルトタタンを食べてから、本場タルトタタンを楽しみに予約しました。席は狭いですが、外も中も充実しています。
ホットショコラとタルトタタンを食べましたが美味しかったです。

Do not come here 100% tourist trap.
We ordered the Grand Cru coffee and its mini pastry and the waiter brought us 2 espressos ?????? Thanks Francois (our waiter) for NOTHING

Also espresso is 5 euros
And espresso with milk is 7.5 euros

Hemingway came and sat here which is cool but I bet he didn’t pay 5 euros for an espresso. If you want to get the vibe just stand around and you’ll get it. Sitting here is the exact same thing as any other cafe in Paris.

the only rude service we experienced in paris and they didn’t even bring us what we ordered. the prices here are 2x elsewhere for mediocre quality. very tourist trap-esque. the lattes are made from a machine and are 8 euro.

Zu Teuer und dafür nicht gut genug habe den kleinen Himberkuchen für 13€ bei einer kleinen Bäckerei in Frankreich schon viel besser gegessen und der Hot Chocolate ist auch leider zu bitter. So einen habe ich schonmal getrunken und der war nicht so bitter, obwohl er sogar noch cremiger war!

Hefty prices, but what would you expect from Les Deux Magots! Atmosphere is great sitting outside, food is good but not special, you can definitely get jt somewhere else for cheaper. In the end, you’re paying for the experience. The service is subpar.

Went here for charcuterie and Sancerre. We ended up getting one cheese plate and one meat plate since the charcuterie plate had less cheese options. Service was great and the food was delicious.

L'homme qui s'occupait de notre table a fait renversé des olives en huile sur la chemise blanche de mon mari. Pas trop d'excuses-un café offert. Il y a quelques années, là-bas on pouvait trouver la meilleure tarte tatin à Paris, maintenant cela a changé. La qualité du dessert était médiocre, rien à voir avec ce qui était avant et avec ce qui était la cause d'y aller.
