We heard about this place because of its famous Beef Bourguignon - reputedly the best in Paris. We thought we wouldnt make it because we couldnt get there until about 2.20 and the kitchen closes at 2.30 ish. But the manager let us in and quickly took our order, which wasnt a hard selection. Of course, I had the beef and my wife had the salmon. We chose a wine to go with that and settled on a bottle of white (vin blanc). There werent many people in at that stage so it was quiet, the interiro is very French, as you would expect and the lighting was suitable for a romantic event. The beef was fantastic and tender and the serving size was just right. The salmon also was cooked to perfection. I would certainly recommend Chez Fernand to anyone wanting a memorable French dining experience, and if beef if your thing - you simply must try this restaurant!
