The food. I had tuna tartare and a kir, both of which were good, the tartare surprisingly so, but a long look at the menu proved to me I’m not an Alsatian fan. Five kinds of sauerkraut? No thanks.
The price. There were lots of seafood options, but everything was very expensive. We’re talking about 30€ for a small platter of oysters. So had I gotten my tartare, a handful of oysters, and, say, some fish, I would’ve been out 50€ at least and still hungry..
The service. Fine. Not great, not terrible. I suppose that’s better than most Parisian spots.
The ambiance. The best part. Definitely feels like you’re having a fancy French meal in a fancy part of Paris.
Bottom line: if you’re a die-hard Alsatian fan, this may be right up your alley. If not, plenty of cheaper seafood spots to choose from.
