EXTRA LIFE CAFÉ

On a choisi ExtraLife Café pour la fête anniversaire de mon fils pour ses 11 ans — avec 10 copains, ils ont adoré! L’équipe était adorable et gentil, les jeux superbes et tout les enfants (et nous!) étaient ravis. Je recommande sans hésitation!

Une super soirée avec ma fille au Extra life café: entre retro gaming et jeux d'aujourd'hui, il y en a eu pour tous les goûts. Les membres du personnel sont aux petits soins et nous ont discrètement aidé à profiter au mieux de la soirée.
On y retournera ! (En plus, il y a une carte de fidélité très avantageuse ????)

Des vrai passionné ! Les prix pour Pokémon sont tellement corrects par rapport aux reste de paris , l’endroit et super depuis le début merci ????

Concept très sympathique avec d'un côté les mangas que l'on peut lire et de l'autre les jeux (Bornes d'arcades et consoles diverses dont dernière génération) le tout à l'heure puis à la demie heure.
Manettes et endroit propres par rapport à d'autres, je recommande ????

I ADORE THIS PLACE!!! From the second you set foot in here, it feels like a warm hug :)) so much love has gone into making this place what it is, and you can really feel it. For any other foreigners who have been experiencing a feeling of displacement in Paris, this place is a wonderful remedy to that. Everyone is just SO friendly - the staff AND the customers - and the array of games is so wide that you can spend hours jumping from machine to machine. I didn't track down the fabled pinball machine mentioned in another review, but I will ask about it on my next visit since I adore pinball. I got ridiculously giddy about the huge dance machine, danced on that until I was practically drenched in sweat lol. Tons of fun arcade games and a huge manga collection, as well as a conventional cafe area where you can simply sit down with your laptop and study as you please. If I lived in the 5th arrondissement I'd never leave this place, genuinely. It's affordable (which is rare in Paris) and it's a multi-purpose space, which is really nice.

Side-note: it can get hot with all the machines downstairs, so don't layer up TOO much, especially if you want to use the dance machine. There are an ample amount of fans and there's space to hang your coats up at the entrance (for free, mind you - highlighting this since a looot of places in Paris like to charge people extra for this lol).

Anyway, the charging system - so, you pay €7 for the first hour (including a standard drink) or €9 if you go for a "premium drink" option, then every additional half hour is charged at €3. You get a slip of paper which you absolutely cannot lose since it has the start time printed on it. You pay once you're done playing. Simple as that!

They have a loyalty card thing here, which is wonderful. I was gonna come back anyway, but it's nice to get rewarded for my loyalty! 12/10 would recommend. I live an hour away from this place but best believe I WILL make the journey just to be in one of the few places in Paris that makes me feel like I can exist and be giddy in all my nerdy glory. A gem and a must-visit for lovers of retro gaming.
