The wine was great, but we felt quite unwelcome. When asking for a recommendation for a wine by the glass, the response was a sour "it's written on the chalk board" and it took several follow-up questions to get a description of said wines. I don't know whether this is Parisian "etiquette", but thankfully, I live in a metropole where you can buy great natural wine from passionate people who aren't half as grumpy as this shopkeeper.

It was late in the evening and I was strolling around with my 9 year old daughter when I bumped into this shop. The owner asked me what I was looking for and helped me to pick an organic Burgundian pinot noir from Bonnardot. Tasted it when I came back from my Paris trip and enjoyed every swig of it ????

Très belle expérience de dégustation de vins natures au sein de l'Etiquette. Hervé nous abreuve d'anecdotes et d'informations toutes plus fascinantes les unes que les autres, le tout autour de breuvages savamment choisis et dégustés avec grand plaisir. Merci encore pour ce beau moment et ces belles découvertes !

I have been coming here for years. Hervé and Elaine are truly special people. Extraordinarily knowledgeable and passionate about the wine and always accommodating. This is—in my opinion—the best cave in Paris.
