The Hotel Jeanne d'Arc was a wonderful find in 2020, so I stayed again this week (January 2025). The rooms were clean and well-appointed, beds were great, and the hotel is located on quiet streets (rue de Jarente, rue Necker) which made for a peaceful retreat right in the heart of Paris. The breakfast was tasty and abundant. I particularly appreciated the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, who responded to all my questions and needs quickly and courteously. The hotel is surrounded by great little restaurants - do not hesitate to ask, in the email you will receive from the owner upon booking, for recommendations in the neighborhood - they were all great and reasonable.||One final note, for my fellow Americans, especially - if you're a large or bulky person (not meant snarkily, we're all different sizes and shapes), you might find the bathrooms a little hard to maneuver in. I think that's a factor to keep in mind - this is a hotel in a very old (historic?) building and it is compact. Some reviewers complained about the size of the rooms/bathroom/elevator - they are not large, but they're fine. That being said, it was perfectly adequate. It's the perfect place from which to launch forth, after a substantial and delicious breakfast, and to return to after an entire day exploring and experiencing the Ville Lumiere.

My friend and I stayed four nights at Hôtel Jeanne d’Arc in Jan 2025. Friend had room on 4th floor; mine was above his on 5th. Rooms are small with a few scuff marks here and there but cozy and very quiet, which I greatly appreciate. Staff is very friendly and accommodating and the breakfast is lovely. The location of the hotel is fantastic—right near the Place de Vosges in the heart of the Marais but tucked away on a side street so you get peace and quiet. Will definitely stay again on my next visit to Paris. Feels more like a bed n breakfast than a hotel and I mean that as a tremendous compliment.

We loved our stay in Hotel Jeanne d'Arc. We are a family of 3 and we had a room on the 6th floor. I could feel the spirits of my artist ancestors who must have lived and created art in that very space (or so I imagine). The room was small but perfect for what we needed; storage space, a small fridge, a desk/vanity, a tv and a shower and tub. The beds were very comfortable but I will say the third bed is small, best for a child. My son is very tall 5'3 and his feet could hang off the bed. The staff at the hotel were helpful and friendly. The hotel was perfectly located and it was easy to get to anywhere we wanted to go. We loved staying in Le Marias, away from the tourist hustle and bustle. Make sure to go to Brigat for croissants in the morning.
I don't know when I will be back in Paris but I will stay here when I come back.

The location is hip and steps from loads of shopping. My favorite restaurant through the whole trip was right across the street. I am a single woman and felt safe walking past dark in the area. The bathroom had a towel warmer! The french windows were beautiful! The breakfast was charming and delicious. I wanted/needed for nothing- everything I needed was provided. (they have ironing boards too) Staff was excellent. Ten out of ten!

This hotel is in a GREAT location, a stone’s throw from excellent sights, and the cafes and bars of bustling Marais district. |The breakfast was much better than expected, with good variety. Our room was very spacious, with a nice street outlook. The hotel itself is a little tired feeling, but it is a fairly budget place for the area, so that was to be expected. There is, remarkably, a lift which is great when you packed too much!|We struck one sullen old guy on the front desk, but to Management’s credit they dealt with his attitude and apologised, which was welcomed and hopefully he remembers what ‘hospitality’ means in dealing with his guests!
