We love this place generally. The reservation was honored and the placement en terrasse far from smokers as requested (the cover was open so it was a bit chilly but fine.) But our drinks came after the meal had been served because the barman apparently had stepped out. We asked for the beer first but our waiter could do nothing (I guess he cannot pour a beer on tap?) Felt bad for our waiter. Happens, not serious. Still our cozy neighborhood go-to bistrot.

My teenage son and I had a wonderful overall experience at Chez Margot on our last night in Paris. The staff was warm and friendly, accommodated our English speaking, and navigated us through several traditional French dishes. The atmosphere was laid back and the food was excellent. Would highly recommend.
