Trappola per turisti! Il posto si presenta bene e le aspettative erano molto alte, ma ben presto sono state deluse. Nella zuppa di cipolle è scappato l'aceto e sicuramente non era all'altezza della classica zuppa francese gratinata. Il piatto principale, volatile in fricassea, altro non era che un petto di pollo grigliato insulso. Neanche le madeleines offerte a fine pasto erano buone, un disastro. Inoltre, nonostante i francesi si facciano vanto di avere i vini più raffinati, di due bottiglie ordinate non ce n'era una che non fosse scadente. E il prezzo da cui partivano era di 70€. Il conto finale incommentabile. Per carità, sapevamo a cosa andavamo incontro economicamente, ma proprio per questo ci aspettavamo alti livelli di cucina, che invece si è rivelata essere confezionata per turisti, a dispetto della fama del locale. Ultima nota, il servizio si vuole presentare come preparato e cordiale, ma l'ho trovato altezzoso e asfissiante, non si fa in tempo a bere un sorso d'acqua che qualcuno che non ha niente da fare di precipita a riempirti il bicchiere, e se dici che sei a posto così, ti guardano con aria smarrita. Bah, io ho stima della cucina francese ma questo posto non le rende assolutamente onore e francamente dispiace

I came here with my wife at the recommendation of a friend as we celebrated our honeymoon. We’ve had the privilege at dining in a few Michelin star restaurants but by no means an expert. My problem starts the moment we walked in the door. The main dining room was pretty much empty at 7pm and we were quickly taken upstairs to a small room with six tables. It was us, a lot of silence, and a loud couple who brought their infant to a michelin star restaurant. I had high expectations for this experience and all of them died the minute I had to look at a guy in a BEER flat brim baseball hat and his wife rocking a bikini t shirt while feeding their crying infant pasta brought in from another restaurant.

The food was fine but nothing special, we probably walked by a dozen similar places on the way as we walked from Montmartre. The atmosphere killed us. I wish I had the time and the money back given how little of it we have in Paris.

I do not recommend coming here especially for the price point.

Honestly very disappointed. The food was good but not good for Paris standards. If you’re looking for the feeling of upper echelon dining at a more modest pricetag, it’s probably reasonable. Our wine/the sommelier was excellent, our sever was very pleasant, the bread was good, and the cassoulet had tasty meat. But beyond that… mediocre. The beef was overcooked, the foie gras uninspiring, and the ambiance was awful. Would recommend looking elsewhere for good, authentic French food, especially given what we paid. The restaurant was pretty empty when we entered and exited, and perhaps that should’ve been a warning.
