The waiter was openly rude and unwelcoming. He ignored us, refused to take our order, didn’t let us use an extra chair for our child, and acted as though we were invisible, while cheerfully serving other guests around us. We are Indian, and sadly, it felt like we were being singled out because of that.
If tourists aren’t welcome, then don’t invite them through glossy shows and Instagrammable spots. We come with open hearts, and to be treated like this is not just hurtful, it’s unacceptable.
