SINNER

I was really excited about this hotel, and honestly, it is a beautiful place. The room was lovely—though the lighting system was confusing and never made much sense. I also had a few awkward moments where housekeeping walked in while I was still inside. It wasn’t until my last day that I discovered a small privacy button on the light switch. Would’ve saved some hassle if that had been pointed out at check-in.

The staff were very friendly at first, which made me feel confident about extending my stay. I asked via email about adding an extra night and was told yes. I then followed up at the front desk, confirmed it again (with the same staff member), and provided my credit card—so I assumed I was all set.

The day before my original checkout, I noticed my card hadn’t been charged, so I double-checked with the manager. She reassured me it was all taken care of and that I didn’t need to worry.

Then the next morning, that same front desk person told me it was time to check out. I explained that the manager had confirmed the extension, but apparently she had been “tired” the day before and misunderstood me. So the extension was never processed.

I get it—mistakes happen, and I have grace for that. Managing a hotel isn’t easy, and this isn’t the end of the world.

But I did have to pack everything up last minute, lost a good part of my day (writing this while grabbing lunch), and was told I could book a room at one of their partner hotels… for €550. Being expected to cover that cost after their mistake just felt ridiculous.

Really unfortunate, because this place could’ve been a fantastic experience. But after how this was handled, I won’t be staying here again—or at any of their sister properties.

This extremely well-appointed hotel was previously The Sinner, which was a cool concept, but I like this iteration better. The hotel's street is a little rough, but one block in either direction changes that. The hotel itself is well-kept and incredibly well-appointed. The rooms are well-thought-out and very luxurious. I would return again.

Good food / great cocktail!

I visited the spa and got a massage and facial from Clara that was exceptional! Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back again.
