We spontaneously decided to take a last minute day in Paris and booked this hotel on short notice. The general high cost was understandable as it is in an incredible location. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are very comfortable, and we would love to stay here on our next time to Paris. Eduardo and the staff at the front desk were so kind and helpful. They spoke several languages and were very accomodating with recommendations. I highly recommend this hotel! More so, we arrived to Paris via the Gare du Nord train station and it was an easy 20-minute walk to the hotel. I read a lot of reviews complaining about DJ noise, but thankfully, we did not get that experience this time.

Het is de 2e keer dat wij dit hotel bezoeken en vele van onze vrienden hebben ook al naar hier gestuurd. Zowel de inrichting als het team hebben een hip karakter, je wordt zeer vriendelijk onthaald. Het restaurant van het hotel is absoluut top voor wie houdt van lichte zuiderse keuken. De ligging van het hotel laat echt toe om Parijs grotendeels te voet te verkennen. De hele dag door kan je in de koffiebar of in de meer intieme cocktailbar genieten van een sfeer die je niet gauw in andere Parijse hotels terugvindt. Het loont de moeite om tijdig te boeken en evt. je reisdata aan te passen aan de tarieven want die kunnen volgens de drukte variëren.

My husband and I had a pleasant, though not exceptional, stay at this hotel. While it offered a comfortable experience, it did not quite measure up to the standard we’ve come to expect from other four-star hotels we’ve visited throughout Europe, including those in Paris. Our arrival set a slightly muted tone, as the check-in process was not particularly warm or welcoming. We also encountered a minor issue with our television that, unfortunately, was not resolved during our stay. However, we appreciated that upon checkout, the staff had noted our feedback, offered a sincere apology, and kindly gifted us one of the hotel’s signature scented candles — a thoughtful gesture that did not go unnoticed. We did thoroughly enjoy our dinner at the hotel’s restaurant, which was a true highlight of our visit. One detail worth mentioning is the absence of USB outlets in the room, which felt surprising for a hotel of this caliber. Including such conveniences would certainly make the experience more accommodating for international travelers.

Je me suis installé un après-midi pour découvrir le moment du goûter dans cet hôtel.

L’environnement est agréable et chic, le service correct, mais l’équipe est vraiment bruyante.

Les serveurs du bar parlent fort en permanence, alors que les clients, eux, restent calmes. On entend tout : leur vie personnelle, leur travail, et surtout leurs plaintes sur les clients.

C’est très désagréable de payer un prix aussi élevé pour passer un moment à écouter des serveurs rire bruyamment et se plaindre.

Il y a clairement un manque de discipline, ce qui est surprenant — et franchement décevant — pour un hôtel de cette catégorie.

500 € per night and two days in row only small towels at the room because they are out of stock, absolutely unacceptable. The room also wasn’t ready at 15.00h.

Can’t believe I debated staying here. It was truly lovely from start to finish. My room was beautiful and so comfortable. Perfect location to enjoy Paris. The rooftop bar is also as perfect as the rest of this hotel. 10/10!

I had high expectations for Hotel National des Arts et Métiers, but my experience in March 2025 was shockingly bad. Not because of the hotel's design or location, but because of the dishonest and unethical behavior of management.||For three days, my room had no hot water. I reported this immediately, the hotel sent technicians and yet it was never fixed. The management admitted fault, blamed it being a Paris issue and an old building and promised compensation for the inconvenience. At the time, they seemed professional and understanding.||However, once I checked out and followed up to ensure they honored their promise, everything changed. They denied the issue was ongoing and said it was fixed immediately despite clearly acknowledging it during my stay. This was blatant gaslighting and an attempt to make me question a very real and frustrating experience.||When I persisted, politely and professionally, they went so far as to accuse me of "harassment" for simply holding them accountable.||This is beyond poor customer service. It's deception and a complete lack of integrity. A hotel that can't provide basic amenities like hot water and then lies about it is bad enough. But to gaslight guests and weaponize false accusations to avoid responsibility is disgraceful.||There are many wonderful hotels in Paris where guests are treated with honesty and respect. Unfortunately, this is not one of them. I strongly advise future travelers to think twice before booking here.

No Hot Water, Lying Managers, and Gaslighting – Avoid This Hotel!

Avoid Hotel National des Arts et Métiers at all costs. During my stay in March 2025, my room had no hot water, an unacceptable issue for any hotel, let alone one at this price point.

When I raised the problem, the management assured me it would be resolved and sent technicians but it was never resolved. At check out the manager had even promised compensation for the inconvenience. I trusted his word. But after I checked out, the hotel management reneged on everything.

Worse yet, when I followed up professionally, they gaslighted me, claiming the issue was fixed and that the manager never promised me compensation happened! To top it off, they accused me of "harassment" simply because I expected them to honor their promises.

This hotel may look nice on the outside, but behind the facade is a management team that is dishonest, unprofessional, and disrespectful to guests. If you value basic amenities like hot water and expect not to be lied to, stay elsewhere.

My wife and I really loved the location of this hotel and the convenience of it being near a lot of great shops and restaurants. However, the experience was marred by the hotel staff and their policies.||||When we first arrived, we were coldly addressed and provided no information about our accommodations. We were just given keys and left to figure everything out. This usually isn't a big deal and on its own, isn't something that would make me annoyed. However, every subsequent encounter continued to indicate that the staff was simply disinterested in helping.||||When we asked for water, the front desk was confused and punted us to the restaurant, where the waitress expressed annoyance and reluctantly provided us with water.||||When we asked for a power adapter (every other hotel on our trip was happy to accommodate, free of charge), the front desk said we needed to pay 12 euros.||||When we asked if we could borrow an umbrella (there were a ton), the front desk's first response was essentially "that's not our job."||||I don't know if I've ever been to a hotel where I had such a poor experience with the front desk. Hopefully this was just an isolated experience because the hotel is otherwise in a great location and the rooms are spacious.

If you value your sleep, please do NOT stay here. You will pay a premium price for a set of ear plugs and music pounding in your head until midnight. It is a very LOUD hotel. The hotel is pretty and in a good location, but that’s it. They seem to care more about the people waiting to get in line for the rooftop than the guests who stay here. The shower in the bathtub sprinkles out and is useless. Again, do not stay here if you have issues with noise.

This hotel would have been “great” if it wasn’t for the ultra loud music running Friday and Saturday from 10:00pm to 2:00am coming from the hotel Bar/Disco. It is completely unacceptable that you pay 400 euros a night and need to accept that you can’t sleep properly until 2:00am because the bright mind of the owner chose to prioritize people having a few drinks downstairs than a fully booked hotel with guests paying +400 euros/night.

I have definitely never seen such a thing before.

Je suis aller à l’Hôtel National pour y prendre un verre en début de soirée. Après avoir pris l’ascenseur direction le 7eme étage, je suis arrivé au roof top de l’hôtel ! Et quel roof top !!! Chaleureux, cosy, verdoyant de plantes et de fleurs … bref une superbe découverte où il fait bon prendre un verre en ami.e.s. Le service est nickel, la clientèle internationale très open et la musique parfaitement adaptée au lieu et à la belle atmosphère qui s’y dégage. Un vrai bonheur !

We stayed here for 6 nights. The location was very good and felt safe. The hotel itself was lovely. We really liked the vibe. We booked a superior room which I liked very much. Very clean. We had breakfast 2 mornings which is perhaps a little expensive but very nice and plenty of choice. The staff were great, especially on our last day 18th March when we had a problem. The staff were so helpful. Thank you so much.

plusieurs fois que je m’assois sur la terrasse, en 1h et plusieurs aller-retour de la serveuse, je n’aurais jamais eu un bonjour ou même une prise de commande, si c’était un cas isolé ça ne serait pas arrivé à 3 reprises…

Plutôt mitigé sur le restaurant.
L’hôtesse d’accueil n’est absolument pas agréable ni à l’écoute de souhaits des clients.
Il faut également savoir que le week-end, un DJ intervient à 22 heures et cela devient infernal pour discuter sans parler d’une musique sûrement agréable pour danser si on a 20 ans mais sûrement pas pour accompagner un dîner.en tête à tête.
Nourriture de bonne qualité.
Service efficace et souriant.
