It’s perfection . The only thing is that I feel it’s becoming commercial and touristy and crowd is not the same local which makes me sad but service is great and food is delicious as always

Look, it's not cheap, it's not for the uninitiated and it's as French as it gets. But please understand the food is amazing. The frogs legs are a must, the confit canard is awesome, the foie gras epic (again understand it's simple grandeur) and yes you might see me or some famous people there.

Le décor est mignon, les serveurs très sympathiques mais sinon c’est du vol… la salade verte (laitue + vinaigrette), certes très généreuse comme le reste des portions, est à 35 euros. La nourriture est basique, la transformation de l’aliment moins que minimale (grillée, flambée, rôti), il n’y a pas plus de 5 ingrédients par plat…

I went to Chez l'Ami Louis 2 weeks ago with my mother to celebrate her visit in Paris. We had our dinner,, we ordered fois gras, a salad and the cote de boeuf. The service was quite slow but the portions were very generous. At the end of the meal I asked for a doggie bag for the fois gras and the cote de boeuf, which they kindly gave to me.
On the taxi home I started feeling bad, I was sweating a lot and was in so much pain that when I got in front of my door I fainted trying to open it. I have spent the next 2 days at home going back and forth between bed and bathroom. My mother didn't faint but felt pretty bad too.
A few days later I went back there to tell the manager about it and guessing that the problem might have been the fois gras. He told me that it was impossible, saying that they are very careful about it, stating that they don't even allow customers to do doggy bags with it, which is not true since I got it myself.w Really bad experience and disappointing that they would rather lie to me than admit their mistake and apologise. All for 400 euros.
