Ah the Golden Promise. It’s pretty much everything a cocktail bar should be. It’s not that famous so it’s always easy to get a table. It’s beautiful thanks to its cave. It’s original in what it offers but also serves classics. It’s an incredible collection of whisky with 2 rooms dedicated to it. The bartenders and waiters are cool and welcoming. It’s also a store, with lots of sake and whisky. It even has food pairings and tasting menus for cocktails now, as well as whisky flights. I’m back to try Synergies, the new menu which features heavy Japanese influences: the first drink is a Nikka whisky/peach/miso short drink and it works well! Very dessert-y while retaining savory notes. The old fashioned isn’t sweet enough for my taste but it’s well made, with a surprise. Second drink was a raspberry eau de vie with truffle oil which I didn’t like and the passion fruit/sweet potatoe/taragon/smoky whisky was unremarkable in my opinion. Not my best time here but it’s always a pleasure. Will be back for the whisky tasting!

Super expérience, au sens premier du terme : c’est une vraie expérience. On nous montre les choses, on prend le temps de nous expliquer la carte, et on a même créé un cocktail pour moi qui suis plus rhum que whisky ????
Cocktails intriguant (dont le eau de vie framboise featuring truffe) mais réalisés à la perfection : cela fait bien longtemps que je n’avais pas pris le temps de réellement déguster un verre ???? Et l’ambiance cave parisienne au top.
Je reviendrai tester la nourriture !
