I previously stayed in the Westminster last year and had a wonderful experience. I visit Paris monthly for work as we have a store on Rue Saint Honoré, unfortunately due to a booking mix up from my company, I found my colleague and I without a hotel for the evening tonight. As we were in the area I checked booking.com and saw Westminster had 2 rooms available so we walked around to the hotel to book the rooms and hopefully have another great stay. The gentleman wearing glasses at reception was incredibly rude from the moment I entered, he did not look up from his computer and when I asked to book the rooms he said they were fully booked without so much as checking the computer. I asked why I was able to book the suites on booking.com. His response was”I don’t know”. I again asked him to actually check, he walked into the back came out after 30 seconds and said “we have one room” before walking away again totally disinterested. I was completely embarrassed in-front of my colleague and walked out the hotel. I would like to be clear, while it is crass to mention spend, the 2 rooms came to a total of 1k for the evening. I would expect and ounce of customer service in a hotel of this standard and one of which I held in such fond regard.
