I loved the atmosphere and the service, but I did not really enjoy the food that much. Some dishes were good like sauerkraut beignet, but others I thought were dreadful. I always have an open mind for food and trying new flavors, but these did not agree with my pallette. The worst offender was a salmon dish with a sauce of peas, strawberries, olives, rhubarb, lemon zest, and crystalized shrimp. I can't think of a worse combination of flavors. Could you imagine putting something like this on a menu in any other setting? Other flops were an offal and white chocolate tart and the sweetbreads main dish. I don't mind most organ meats, but it would've been nice to not have to force down sweetbreads for one of the main dishes. I don't think they prepared it in a way that was special either because it just tasted like sweetbreads to me. Any other meat in that dish would've been good. Some people might like it, but is a divisive ingredient to feature. The pear dessert was pretty and the pear part was good/interesting, but the jarring coffee merengue ruined it for me. For a Michelin star restaurant with 150 euro price tag, there weren't any dishes that really made me say "wow" in a good way.
