Nous avons passé un super moment pour l'apéro le cadre était très agréable, un grand merci à Annaëlle pour ses bons conseils concernant les cocktails, nous reviendrons certainement.

Un accueil souriant et agréable, un surclassement inattendu avec un mot d’accueil dans la chambre adorable et des petites attentions et l’accès à une terrasse privée, une déco d’enfer et un petit déjeuner hyper copieux.
Nous avons passé un séjour unique et nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir chez Mama Shelter!

I am a return visitor and I like it very much.
This is not you average two-star hotel - it is so much more than that:
The style is fresh and a little bit sexy. Raw concrete walls combined with black walls, colorful accents and large mirrors make the rooms seem more spacious. Fun detail: each room features al little extra sink, a small fridge and a microwave oven. For families of traveling friends the family XL rooms are great. They are two double rooms that share a small, private hallway.
The young staff are all great people, really friendly and helpful and also funny and approachable. The restaurant serves very good food at doubles as a bar with a DJ every Thursdag, Friday and Saturday that knows to attract the local crowd. It is lively and colorful with a very positive vibe; which is also true for the roof-top tapas bar.
And then there is the breakfast - with has everything you want and more. special mentions are the juicer, a choice of different cakes and brioche, and sautéed courgettes and mushrooms, and chicken wings, next to the more typical eggs, bacon, sausages and tomatoes.
The environment - the 20th arrondissement is not known as the best neighborhood of Paris. It developed positively over the years though and if you walk up from the Metro station Alexandre Dumas along Rue de Bagnolet, you will find a number of good bars and food places.
So why not 5 stars? Because Accor ought to invest a bit in the rooms and especially the bathrooms. Not a full makeover - but it is time for the standard, periodic maintenance and the replacement of the odd chipped tile. Oh, and a somewhat stronger climate control would be good.
Nothing that keeps me from returning the next time though.

Staff friendly and location is great but the actual hotel leaves a lot to be desired. Rooms are far too hot and dark, the air con doesn’t do anything. Furthermore it not suitable for families (sells sex toys at reception?!??). The rooms are impractical, small and feel tired and in need of a revamp. Breakfast is very over priced (21€ pp). Would not stay here again. Area is great but avoid the hotel as much better is out there.

Hotel simpático, bonito, equipe atenta, ótima roupa de cama - e cama -, excelente café da manhã. É um pouco mais afastado mas o bairro é de parisienses - considero isso positivo -, tem ônibus na porta e o metrô fica a 10 minutos de caminhada. Ao lado do Père Lachaise - vale muito a visita -
