I did not have a good experience staying in the hotel. The room is very small. I constantly ran into my boyfriend as we were both getting ready in the morning. I could have forgiven it if that was all.
We asked for more water on first morning and were told that housekeeping will refresh this. After the day out we came back to our hotel and housekeeping did not come by. My boyfriend went down to the desk and the first thing they did was ask him if he had the “do not disturb” sign up-rudely. We didn’t have it up. No offer to come by and re do the room or anything.
I asked for a clothing iron and this was brought to me-just the iron. Then two days later I asked for it again and they asked me to come down to the desk and get it. I was just out of the shower with nothing but a towel on. I put some clothes on and go to the desk. After some waiting she brings out the iron and ironing board. She expected me to carry both up two floors? Also if they had a board why couldn’t that be brought to me the first time I asked?
They were also very rude when my boyfriend asked for water. That’s when we learned we can help Ourselves- too bad they didn’t tell me the first time I asked.
I paid a lot to stay in this hotel and I came back to an unserviced room and never have I been expected to bring up items to my room myself, like an iron, when it’s been requested.

Lovely eco-friendly boutique hotel with a unique aesthetic tucked into a side lane in Belleville.
The rooms are small which is typical for Paris 3-star hotels but they have done amazing things with the space so you don't find it lacking. Very clean and everything feels fresh and new.
Beautiful, soothing decor in tones of teal and coral with brass and glass details. Sustainable bath products which smell glorious! Top-notch bedding with fresh, crisp linen--one of the best hotel beds I have slept on. Could easily sleep into the morning, except a good enough excuse is to wake up and go explore Paris!
Great soundproofing.
Staff are lovely, unintrusive but helpful.
Breakfast seems to run out and refills are not as quick but it was tasty and healthy.
The cafe/terrace outside gives it a nice homely feeling, almost like a hostel. Great place to get a glass of wine and unwind.
I hope they keep up the standards and maintain the property!
I would book here again without a thought and highly recommend it to others.

Quel bonheur de revenir au Babel après une visite, certes merveilleuse dans ce beau Paris. Le métro est a 2 pas. Le quartier Bellevile est authentique et des bars et restos incroyable niveau prix.
J avais l impression de revenir à la maison. Le staff est disponible, a l écoute de chacun. Merci Karen !!!
Et le patron gère son équipe et son établissement avec un humanisme rare dans ce monde d aujourd'hui.
Pour finir la déco est superbe évidemment, literies magiques, insonorisation au top

Be prepared, the rooms are “cozy”, but certainly clean and comfortable, which completely served our needs (read that as small, which apparently is very typical for Paris). Staff were all very friendly. Great price point in an area just outside the center of everything. Easy to get around, with a Metro station and bus stops on the same block. At the time of our visit, unfortunately the restaurant was closed, but they did still offer a small buffet breakfast. Plenty of other restaurant options nearby in the vibrant neighborhood, and of course tons of options everywhere else around the city.

Das Hotel ist insgesamt sehr bezaubernd, süß und die Mitarbeitenden sehr hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer sind sehr ideenreich gestaltet, hier hatte jemand wirklich Geschmack. Und Belleville ist vermeintlich so etwas wie das neue hippe Viertel von Paris - um die Ecke gibt es tolle Restaurants und Bäckereien, wunderschöne Parks.

Einziger kleiner Makel: Das Frühstück hat zwar sehr tolle Komponenten. Das Brot war wirklich sehr lecker, der Käse war himmlisch. Doch war alles sehr lieblos angerichtet und die Auswahl arg begrenzt. Manchen Gästen wurden Croissants und Pain de Chocolat angeboten, anderen nicht.

La partie café/bar est très agréable avec une super terrasse ensoleillée!
Mais le service est très lent, le serveur était seul, c'était assez mal organisé : j'ai du après 20minutes d'attente finalement entrer pour commander car on ne m'avait pas remarqué arriver...
Dommage car lieu très sympathique et prix très correct, mais faut prévoir du temps pour être servi.

Je recommande. Le petit déjeuner est incroyable, les chambres sont fraîchement rénovées et d’un super style, tout comme l’hôtel en général et puis le personnel est très sympa et serviable. Bon rapport qualité-prix.

Le Babel j’y ai mes habitudes mais ce samedi accompagnée de ma famille, j’ai une surprise. Mes papilles ont été prises en flagrant délit de kiff ultime, c’est rare et précieux. Tout était aligné, l’accord mets et vins digne d’une grande table. On a même supplié le chef de faire un livre de recettes ! Ce n’est pas une recommandation, c’est une ode au bon goût de se délecter d’un dîner de Babel et de toute la culture qui dépasse les frontières… du palais. Merci !

Nous avons passé 3 nuits en couple dans cet hôtel au charme franchement unique et ce fût une excellente surprise de bout en bout : accueil pro et sympa ; décoration originale et ô combien dépaysante ; petit-déjeuner hyper qualitatif ; literie très confortable, restaurant savoureux.

Même prendre l'ascenseur est une expérience là-bas ;)

Seul (petit) bémol pour les chambres : l'un ou l'autre crochets supplémentaires pour les serviettes seraient les bienvenus à notre humble avis :)

On est probablement appelés à se revoir car je me vois mal aller ailleurs pour mes prochains séjours à Paris !

The hotel had so much character and charm. Although the room was small, we felt we had enough space for the time we were there. Our room was cleaned and tidied daily which was really helpful. Location wise, the hotel is near some really cool bars and restaurants- a cool area to be in! It’s close enough to the centre but not too far at the same time. The staff were very friendly, as were the locals near the hotel. We would definitely stay again, thankyou:)

Hotel agréable, calme .
Personnel très agréable.
A côté du métro. Plein de petits restaurants pas chers à côté.

J’ai dû rester 1 nuit de plus, en raison des inondations ( train annulé). Aucun geste commercial. J’ai payé le prix fort la nuit supplémentaire.

Le restaurant Babel est un endroit magnifique avec une belle cuisine. tout est excellent ! Le personnel est super sympa, et j’y suis allé plusieurs fois sans jamais être déçu. C’est un lieu idéal pour passer une belle soirée entre amis ou en famille.

We loved this hotel - the welcome was warm, the room was incredibly comfy, the decor was beautiful and the atmosphere was amazing. It felt like the perfect place to relax in a busy city, but it also had a buzz all of it's own. The food and drink we tried in the restaurant was exceptionally delicious. Belleville is a wonderful neighbourhood with lots to see (and eat) and a lovely local feel, but the hotel is also conveniently located about a minute from the metro with good connections to the rest of Paris. I only wish we could have stayed longer and I sincerely hope we can return in the near future ✨

The room is nice, though a bit small, but it is kept clean. A tea kettle is provided, which is appreciated. Adding a chair in the room would be a great improvement. The room is cleaned daily, and fresh towels are provided every day. The staff is good and attentive.

However, I would like to mention one small thing: it would be better to remove the Shiva-Parvati pictures from the toilet, as it feels inappropriate.

3ème séjour - un endroit où je retourne - très accueillant, j'adore le style de l'hôtel, on y mange bien, bien entretenu. Cette fois-ci, le petit déjeuner était devenu 'self-service' - nouveau cela - faut juste encore voir pour bien suivre quand il est 'l'heure de pointe' le matin pour rendre le séjour tout à fait parfait. Merci à l'équipe Babel.

Top hotel op loopafstand van metrostation Belleville. Heel vriendelijk personeel en een heerlijk ontbijt. Ook kun je er ‘s avonds lekker eten. De sfeer en inrichting van het hotel zijn heel fijn. De kamers zijn klein, efficiënt ingericht en een lekkere douche.

Kortom: een goed verblijf gehad en we zouden het hotel zeker aanraden. Wanneer we weer in Parijs komen, komen we zeker terug.
