One of mankind's finest accomplishments. A huge jewel box of stained glass. Believe it or not, Chapelle was finished in seven years. Louis IX (aka St. Louis) built it as a repository for the "true" relics.

Heavenly interior, well worth the visit. You do need to go through airport-style security first - better not to bring a bag as they'll need to check it. There are public toilets inside before you reach the church (nothing flashy). The church itself is a marvel and well explained in the free multi-lingual info cards. Buy a ticket online first.

Beautiful. Old. Ancient. The line to enter was a bit chaotic. Also was with an elderly person and there should be some warning there is not any handicap access. Hard stairs to get up and down for mobility challenged.
