Great food and place. The waiter,toufik, is the best. Strongly recommend this place in Paris. Come and you will see.

Server said he would take 20 euro as a 'tip' because he did not have change for our notes. Appalling for being jammed into a corner where a lounge chair blocked us in to fit other customers. Had it been asked we could have offered to pay by card but it caught us off guard as Australians who do not have a tipping culture. Food in Paris is already 3x what we pay in Australia, if it were here, our server's would apologise and offer an alternative payment (eg Card) or offer reimbursement of the differrnce (eg a drink) to make up the value if alternative payment was not an option (we could have just paid with card). Our stupidity for allowing it but I still don't think it's ok to announce you will just take it as a tip and not ask for alternative payment or offer another solution.

We ate here this evening. Worst meal we had in Paris! The drinks were fine-Moscow Mule and a Spritz. My husband ordered the Duck Confit and I ordered the shrimp linguine. There was only one server actually working so we never got the bread until our meal came. The duck was lackluster. The shrimp linguine had no flavor whatsoever. I doused it in salt in an attempt to revive it with no avail. The server came by to check in on us (much later than what would be considered prompt). I informed him of the issue. He expressed little remorse. My husband asked for him to remove the charge from the bill since I only ate 4 bites of it. He responded “Does she understand what the dish is?” We were flabbergasted. My husband requested the manager come over and speak with us. The manager refused to do so even though he was a few feet away at an almost empty bar. This was preposterous and such a disappointment in a wonderful city!
