My teenage daughter and I arrived at Hotel Niel in Paris very tired after a long trip from our home in Edmonton Canada in Dec 2024. We discovered on arrival I had mistakenly booked online a double room with one bed for 3 nights instead of a two twin bed room. Anyone booking online knows how easy that is to do. Just out from the damp cold Paris weather we stood in the lobby for a more than an hour while the clerk spoke to the manager by phone. We were eventually informed the first night room (160€) would not be refunded and if a second bed was needed we would have to pay for an additional room each night. This is after being originally told a room with two beds was available for all three nights.
To say the least I was shocked at my first taste of Parisian hospitality! I even protested that a bad review would be given. Apparently that was of no concern whatsoever. Too exhausted to hunt for a reasonable hotel stay we ended up paying for two rooms that first night (about $450 Canadian in total) and searched online for hours for another hotel for the remaining two days in Paris.
It was a very hurtful and disheartening start to our expensive trip to France.
Ironically our next stop was to the Normandy area of France. We visited the thousands of graves of American, British and Canadian soldiers there. And walked on the beaches and tried to imagine the bravery, horror and unspeakable cost. To liberate France and eventually the world.

Chambre propre, literie confortable, personnel accueillant.|La salle de bain est un peu petite, mais suffisante pour autant.|Je pense que nous aurions passé une bonne nuit s'il n'y avait pas eu une fête bruyante dans un bar situé à quelques dizaines de mètres. Notre chambre donnait sur la rue, mais la rue en elle-même semble calme, comme le quartier.|L'hôtel n'est pas responsable de ce désagrément.

Hôtel sympathique avec des réceptionnistes très sympa. Bagagerie avant et après vos nuits. Chambre correcte, p'tit déjeuner correct. Pas de gros soucis donc.

El hotel está muy bien situado andando a 10 min del arco del triunfo la atención en recepción excelente uno de los chicos habla un poco de español y los demás se esfuerzan para q puedas entender la limpieza del hotel y de las habitaciones 10/10 el desayuno estuvo variado muy rico todo en sus alrededores encuentras de todo un poco la zona muy tranquila
Muchas gracias por hacer que nuestra estadía fuera muy placentera ????????

Kleines aber feines 3-Sterne-Hotel in zentraler Lage. Wer eine Unterkunft für ein paar Tage in Paris benötigt und relativ preiswert und zentral wohnen möchte ist im Hotel Niel bestens aufgehoben. 10 Minuten Fußweg zum Arc de Triomphe und Champs Elysee. In unmittelbarer Nähe gibt es einen Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und viele Restaurants.
