We live close by and took a friend there for dinner last weekend. It was a lovely ambiance but the service was a little chaotic and unorganized. My partner ordered coq au vin initially and later on he was told that it was not available anymore. We waited around 25 -30 mins for the main dish to arrive not sure what was happening. After we asked for the bill and I asked them to pack up my chicken supreme(more than half left) and 10 minutes later I was told that my chicken got thrown out by mistake.

Jolie découverte pour un dîner boulot. Une ambiance bistrot parisien chic. Les plats étaient délicieux, bien présentés et copieux. Service accueillant et réactif. Allez y les yeux fermés.

La Gauloise is a really lovely spot in Paris. The atmosphere is classy but not pretentious—just a warm, elegant place to enjoy a good meal. I had the steak, which was cooked just right and super tasty, and the chocolate mousse for dessert was rich and smooth—definitely a highlight.
The waiter was very decent and polite, and the whole experience felt relaxed and enjoyable. Everything we ordered was delicious, and the service was just as good. I’d definitely recommend it if you're looking for a quality meal in a beautiful setting. Would gladly come back

Un accueil chaleureux : on a vraiment l'impression d'être attendu ! des serveurs aux petits soins, une cuisine juste parfaite et une mousse au chocolat servie au saladier : une tuerie ! La recette ? Des oeufs, du chocolat et un secret de fabrication très vite révélé si vous demandez avec le sourire ! ;) Un vrai plaisir d'y retourner !

Excellents accueil service et cuisine .
Les plats sont soignés frais et excellents.
Les tables sont dressées avec des nappes en tissu ainsi que les serviettes.
Le cadre est cossu cosy et permet des discussions sans être dérangés par les voisins .
Enfin un service de table et accueil super : comme on aimerait l’avoir partout !

La GAULOISE est vraiment représentative du service à la française, c'est à dire une maison traditionnelle qui flirte avec l'excellence. La carte est appétissante sans fioritures, on préfère la fraîcheur, l'authenticité ainsi que le goût. Le service y est parfait, avec sympathie et sourires. Les prix sont justes. On est assuré d'y passer de ces moments qu'on appréciera longtemps

Lovely staff and owner, very very nice food could not fault! Was a table of 8 and all our meals were amazing. Has a very good meal deal and prices are worth the quality of food. Very nice location and atmosphere, Will definitely be coming back.

Restaurant situé près du Champ de Mars côté Ecole Militaire.
On vient ici pour l'ambiance typiquement parisienne avec des serveurs très agréables et souriants et profiter de la Terrasse. Les plats sont très corrects (qualité, quantité) pour des prix raisonnables pour ce quartier de Paris.

We were disappointed. My main course was cold and so was that of another of our party. Our plates were taken away to be reheated but on return the vegetables were still cold. I remember my last visit to the restaurant many years ago and it is certainly not as it was then. I found it overpriced compared to similar establishments in the area. I don’t think that we will be returning.
