We had the marinated herring, classic tartare, duck confit, and the helene pear dessert with a coffee each. Food was so-so; I didn't see the appeal, but it may have just not been to my personal preference. The service was slow and they forgot our dessert and coffee; we had ask twice for them. It wasn't even a language issue because they seemed to understand after some help from google translate and it was a simple order.

Le Café du Commerce in Paris is a gem that made our trip unforgettable. We dined here twice, including for my 60th birthday, and both experiences were exceptional. This century-old restaurant in the 15th arrondissement combines impeccable service, delectable cuisine, and a breathtaking ambiance.
The three-story venue is a visual delight, with a retractable glass roof that opens (weather permitting) to create a magical, open-air experience. Lush plants cascade from the second- and third-floor balconies, adding charm to the elegant interior.
Our first visit was so phenomenal that we returned for my birthday. The staff, led by the wonderful manager Victor, remembered us and made the occasion truly special by serenading me and gifting us a bottle of champagne. Their warm hospitality elevated every moment.
We started with EPC Cuvée Blanc de Noirs Brut, a delightful blush champagne, paired with complimentary thin-sliced sausage and olive spread served with fresh baguette. For wine, we enjoyed the rich Chateau Brande-Bergère Grand Vin de Bordeaux 2020—perfectly balanced.
Starters were a highlight: the artichoke salad was fresh and vibrant, the French onion soup rich and comforting, the escargot tender and garlicky, and the pate smooth and flavorful.
Entrees did not disappoint. The baked seabass with creamy mashed potatoes was perfectly cooked, the filet with skinny fries was juicy and flavorful, and the duck confit with steak fries was the best we’ve had in Paris—crisp, succulent, and unforgettable.
Desserts were divine: a strawberry sundae with chocolate and vanilla ice cream, classic crème brûlée with a perfect caramelized crust, profiteroles drizzled with warm chocolate, and a standout strawberry ice cream on crisp meringue with Chantilly cream and a strawberry jam reduction. The chocolate mousse was rich and indulgent.
Le Café du Commerce is a must-visit for its historic charm, outstanding food, and exceptional service. Reservations are recommended, especially for larger groups or special occasions. Whether you’re celebrating a milestone or simply craving a memorable meal, this restaurant delivers an experience that will leave you enchanted.

A fuir l accueil est déplorable même si vous venez souvent. Je n y mettrai plus les pieds puisque Rose m a dit méchamment de ne plus venir quand je lui ai dit que c était chez 12 euros minimum par carte. Je venais seule ou avec des amis depuis plusieurs années et elle m a virée comme une malpropre. Quelle honte Qu est ce que vous êtes désagréable à fuir absolument!!!!
