I got an entrecôte but it was hard to tell what cut the meat was. It was cremated, something I would not expect in France. I was absolutely very disappointed as I was expecting a good steak following the recommendation and having enjoyed the starter.
My wife had the gambas which were somewhat ok, but the potato gratin that accompanied it were worse than a portion that were microwaved from a supermarket store.
Overall our positive experience at the start, crashed and burned (literally like my “steak” which was unacceptable by any standard, not to mind French). We left disappointed and hope we never experience a meal like this again in what was not meant to be a tourist restaurant. Maybe the locals ate better but I will remember my entrecôte for all the wrong reasons.
I acknowledge that the host gave my wife a free small carafe of wine which was appreciated but it did not make up for a very poor main course that left us both very disappointed, even 24 hours later.
