Hôtel très proche métro 6 .
Personnel agréable et au petit soin.
Pas vu de défauts niveau propreté .
Petit déjeuner varié et garni.
Je dois toujours dormir avec des bouchons d’oreilles en ville , ça n’a pas été le cas cette fois ci!
Nous reviendrons sans hésiter !

Exceptional Comfort and Cleanliness at a 3-Star Gem – Grand Hôtel du Porte Dorée

During my recent stay in Paris, I had the pleasure of discovering the Grand Hôtel du Porte Dorée, and I must say, it truly impressed me. For a 3-star hotel, this place goes above and beyond in offering a comfortable, welcoming, and impeccably maintained environment that feels far more refined than one might expect in its category.

Let’s start with the most noticeable aspect: cleanliness. The hotel is spotlessly clean throughout—from the lobby and hallways to the guest rooms and bathrooms. It’s clear that the housekeeping team takes pride in their work. Every corner was tidy, fresh-smelling, and well-kept, which instantly gave me peace of mind and made me feel comfortable in the space.

The room itself was cozy yet elegant, with tasteful décor that reflects a blend of classic Parisian charm and modern touches. Although not overly spacious (as is typical in Paris), it was very thoughtfully arranged, making excellent use of the available space. The bed was exceptionally comfortable with quality linens, and the room included little extras that aren’t always found in 3-star properties—such as tea and coffee-making facilities, a small fridge, and environmentally friendly toiletries.

One of the aspects that stood out most was the warm and sincere atmosphere of the hotel. It’s a smaller, boutique-style place, and that adds a personal touch that many large chain hotels simply lack. The staff were courteous and helpful, always ready to assist with directions, restaurant recommendations, or transport advice. They were polite, multilingual, and made a real effort to ensure that guests felt welcomed and cared for throughout their stay.

The location is another great advantage. The hotel is situated in the 12th arrondissement, just a few steps from the Porte Dorée metro station, which provides direct and easy access to the heart of Paris. Despite being well-connected, the area is quieter and more residential, which allows for a peaceful night’s sleep—something that can be hard to find in busier parts of the city. There are lovely cafés, bakeries, and local shops nearby, and the beautiful Bois de Vincennes park is within walking distance—a perfect escape for a morning stroll or a relaxing afternoon.

What also deserves recognition is the hotel’s effort to be eco-conscious. From the use of sustainable materials and products to waste reduction initiatives, the management clearly cares about the environment. This thoughtful approach made me feel good about staying there and supporting a business with values.
